Thanks for recognizing David Piland and congrats to him. Very nice award for for someone who was playing JV ball two games ago.

Too bad Judson isn't in Region 3 (not hoping they are) because Chauncey Harris had 27 carries for 284 yds for 4 TD's also. He did it in less carries :D lol
Good lists on both

Nice to acknowledge Bell's big win vs Keller -- all things considered, the biggest win in the four-year Gary Olivo era at Bell -- Bell needs to take care of business this week vs Fossil Ridge, then makes the game two Thursdays from now vs Trinity a little more exciting --

Just out of curiosity, under Players of the week, how is Rex Burkhead not listed? A case could be made for him on a weekly basis (except Plano vs Wylie); he is a monster. My avatar shows I'm not a Plano fan, but I love to watch this kid play. If not for him, Plano would be an also-ran instead of a top-25.

Not only was he playing JV ball two weeks ago, he may not be the best back-up at SLC. He got the luck of the draw being on varsity when Padron went down. If it had happened a week earlier or a week later, Williamson (not Piland) would be the SLC QB right now. Congrats to Piland. He's been great.

I figured this might the week an Abilene player was one of the players of the week. Herschel Sims had 3 carries for 111 yards and 2 TDs and 3 catches for 77 yards and a TD. That's 6 touches for 188 yards and 3 TDs!

one thing i will never understand is how austin pugliese has been POTW 2 times in six games and isnt on the players to watch list, yet cy-creeks third string quarterback is on the players to watch list

Players to watch list was put out before the season started. Pretty sure they didnt know who would under acheive and who would over acheive.
