New batch of projections. Regions 1 and 2 were much more active than 3 and 4. The change was mainly in the 3rd and 4th positions.

I like the new feature showing the new team to the mix (shown in green). Or have you been doing that all along and I just missed it?

I still don't see SLC finishing second to Hebron but who knows....:)

Austin High probably still makes it as the 4th place team in 25, but Anderson controls their own destiny.

Just started doing that a couple weeks ago to better represent the changes that occur from week to week.

I've forgotten what the UIL bracket looks like in R4. At the top of the bracket, is it the runner up of 25 playing the winner of 26 or vice versa?

What's the line on CHHS vs. SLC? Either way, Abilene vs. either one of them may turn out to be a shootout.

12-5A...man Shoemaker is looking pretty good. Maybe they will make the playoffs for the first time ever.
I hope so!

With the way Abilene is playing, they may end up rolling whoever they play.

Would that include the Dragons? :D

The top half of the region bracket is:

25 1st vs. 26 2nd
27 1st vs. 28 2nd
29 1st vs. 30 2nd
31 1st vs. 32 2nd

Bottom half;

25 2nd vs. 26 1st
27 2nd vs. 28 1st
29 2nd vs. 30 1st
31 2nd vs. 32 1st

Why is the A&M Consolidated forfeit not showing? They now have 2 losses in District, not just one.

The first rd matchup between SLC and CHHS should be a good one. How big a possibility is that at this point?

Colleyville is locked into their seed. Carroll position will depend on this week's result with Hebron. If Hebron wins, then Carroll-Heritage is a very strong possibility. If Carroll beats Hebron, then Hurst Bell is the likely opponent. I'd favor Carroll to win this week, but this district has been unpredictable. I didn't expect Marcus to play the Dragons closely. Hebron's won five in a row and has the home field.

With Hebron 3-0 in district and Carroll 2-1, Hebron would get the pole position. Check back next week for an update.

That needs to be fixed, but it doesn't impact the brackets. It might in a couple weeks, but as of now it wouldn't change the positions.

is there a web site that anyone knows of that shows all the standings in all of the districts in one place?

Our playoff bracket is actually not all that bad like it seemed it could be before the season. We just have to go through the current number 2 and number 1 in consecutive weeks to get to the semis! :D

What is the basis for predicting Keller to be the fourth seed in 5-5a? Bell and NW have the tie breaker over Keller - wouldnt NW be the likely 4th seed in 5-5a?

Keller beat Justin Northwest 24-14.

Justin NW beat Bell -- all three teams have the same district record - with point differential (see 5-5a tie breaker thread), the tie breaker is Bell and Justin NW are in and Keller is out --

I didn't realize 5-5A did +/- differential. Districts all do it differently and most seem to use positive points in a three way tie break. That's never made sense. Tie break rules should be universal.

Hurst Bell 45 Keller 17 (+14)
Northwest 31 Hurst Bell 21 (-10)

Hurst Bell +4

Northwest 31 Hurst Bell 21 (+10)
Keller 24 Northwest 14 (-10)

Northwest 0

Keller 24 Northwest 14 (+10)
Hurst Bell 45 Keller 17 (-14)

Keller -4

Someone said NW scored very late against Keller. That has to sting because Keller would be in the playoffs if that hadn't happened. Surprises happen, so we'll see if all three finished tied as projected.

Agreed! Shoemaker is looking very good. Thursday's game between Shoemaker and Ellison in Killeen will be critical in deteriming Shoemaker's future. I believe they will beat Ellison and then they will face Temple. If Shoemaker wins both games (Ellison and Temple) they will make the playoffs and go Division II. Temple would go to Division I and the fourth spot in district 12-5a would go to the winner of AMC and Ellison-and would go to Division I. Still a lot "ifs" but Shoemaker could make the playoffs for the first time in their school's relative short history by winning the next two. I would love for that to happen, Go Wolves!

Is it possible if Pflugerville and Smithson Valley meet in the first round of the playoffs?! If so, can anyone tell me how?

Is it possible if Pflugerville and Smithson Valley meet in the first round of the playoffs?! If so, can anyone tell me how?its not only possible, its all but certain, at least how i look at it. seems to me that both Reagan and Smithson Valley will split their two remaining games. Reagan has the tiebreaker for the #1 spot in D2 over the Rangers, thus sending them against the #2 team in D2 from 25-5A. that's going to be Austin or Anderson.

unless Smithson Valley can beat otherwise undefeated Roosevelt, PHS will be facing Smithson Valley

According to the posts on the other thread, 5-5A does not use any type of head-to-head or point differential to break ties. According to the "knowledgeable" posts on that thread, 5-5A uses a coin toss exclusively.

I'm amazed, but that seems to be the case. I'd REALLY like to find someone on "the inside" to tell us it isn't so (or is ). Does anyone know any of the AD's in 5-5A that might be able to definitively answer the quetion?

hey KT's, just had a quick curious question about 15-5A. why do yall have cy springs making the fourth spot in that district? obviously yall have cy woods beating langham creek, which i do as well. Not that im an expert by any stretch (and yall know that!) but i have that last spot as a three way tie between langham creek, cy falls, and cy springs. and of course everybody is 1-1 against each other. and i believe the tiebreaker in this district is point diff. within the three teams. and in that case langham creek wins it. i also think its a chance that cy falls beats cy woods in the last game of the year and they just win the spot outright.

rebelgolfer92

5-5A does use a coin toss to decide tie-breaks. It will potentially be between Bell, Keller, and Northwest if all three teams win out.

I was just wondering whats gonna happen if we win the last 2 games? Does that make us div. champs or is it a 3 way tie

Only way you can be district (not div.) champ is for you to win both games, Plano loses to Jesuit and Allen loses to PESH.

If odd chance you won both and the others won other game then its a three way tie with no playoff changes.

Slight favorite to win against West but not against Allen.

This will be moot after Allen wins its third straight district title. :D

Bracket info upgrade request. The information on dates for each round is very helpful like what is done with the bracket on the UIL web page (http://www.uil.utexas.edu/athletics/brackets/football/5A_bracket/5A_division1.html).

If it is possible to add that to your brackets please do.

Thanks,
