I remember just a couple years ago when we thought Shipley may never play football again. His journey from arguably the best WR in Texas high school football, to devastating injuries in consecutive years to this year where he has caught 10 TD passes and is on pace to go well over 1000 yards receiving (first Texas WR to do that since Roy in '01 I believe).

That is correct... The kid is awesome.. Big catch after big catch..

15 catches for 168 yds and a touchdown... Big 3rd down catches... WOW...

Shipley made the entire state of Oklahoma his :Censor: this year. Against Mobilhoma and Okie Lite, Shipley touched the ball 29 times for 410 yards and 3 TDs.

It's the same :Censor: week in and week out. Colt and Shipley are roommates. Colt and Shipley's Dad were roommates and played for ACU. Blah, blah, blah. They need some new stuff. At least we don't have to hear about the number of traffic lights in Tuscola.

The announcers today were about as bad as it gets.

Missing half the game, saying idiotic things, saying the same things over and over again (ie Colt and McCoy), horrible analysis, etc.

I don't think anyone cares to hear any more about Colt and Jordan's relationship or the amount of stoplights in Tuscola. It gives me bad memories of Dave Lapham (sp?) on Fox SW constantly talking about Roy Williams' shoe size and "jackhammer feet" just about every time he touched the ball.

You do that and I'll come up from behind and rip his heart out through his back and piss into the cavity. America must know there is noting acceptable about Paul or his actions.

Jordan Shipley and All Time Records at UT

He just broke Roy Williams record for most catches in a single game with 15... Roy previously had 13 vs Nebraska in 2002.

He is on pace to break the following records this season...

Yardage in a single season, Held by Kwame Cavil at 1188 yds in 1999.

Touchdowns in a season, Held by Limas Sweed at 12 tds in 2006.

And is also on pace to have the 2nd most receptions in a season, held by Kwame Cavil at 100 rec. in 1999. Jordan is on pace to catch 90 receptions this season, and if he has more days like yesterday he may well break that 100 rec. mark as well.

This young man has overcame alot to become a first rate starter. If he returns next season which I believe he will, He could crush alot more records while doing it...

In other words, he is what everybody expected him to be coming out of high school.

Absolutely... I'm glad he's on our side... A very unselfish kid... The consument professional.. A true coaches son, he doesnt care about glamour or who gets the praise, he just wants to help his team win..

The thing I like most about this guy is his relationship with Colt McCoy. Never hear too much about how these two grew up together.

I'm not sure you must be out of the loop. Big news. Probably should be a hot topic heading into the game this weekend.

You should send an e-mail to ABC and make sure they know this. It would be cool to hear this mentioned during a game.

I already spoke with them. I have been guaranteed a 10 minute pre-game segment, a reminder twice each quarter, and three questions to Colt McCoy regarding the subject after the game is over. Questions for Mack Brown from the post-game ESPN Gameday crew on the subject are plausible but not promised.

I'm just glad he's finally healthy and has the opportunity to shine. It wasn't looking good for awhile.
