Why would it be stupid? Clark holds 14,000 easy, and let's be honest, the 'cats don't draw the crowds they used to. And I doubt very seriously Midland would bring much over 4,000 anyway.

Midland does not want to come to Texas Stadium, so there will be a coin flip.

Could be Abilene could even be Midland, however they might have to build more stands as Plano would fill their stadium.

Could even be John Clark Stadium....If Midland does not want to come to Texas Stadium they sure as hell don't want to come to Clark, they would be better off in Texas Stadium.

Contrary to the rumors this flip has not taken place yet.

We still need to take care of biz and get past Midland, it appears Plano is coming out of the fog they have been in the past few weeks. Plano's D completley dominated a very skilled very fast offense in the 2nd half.

It holds 14,000 in the stands and another 1,000 in the grass, and was built in (off the top of my head) '77 or '78. I do know this: Plano has played and won more playoff games in Ratliff stadium than it has in Clark. It would be nice to host the West Texas folks for a change.

Plano played 1 playoff game their in 94 and beat Mesquite on the way to their 7th state title. Pllano offically holds 14,235. You can easily get 15,000 if you opened the grass endzone area and added bleachers in the North Endzone.

Saw a few SLC fans hanging around on the Plano side tonight. Todd Dodge was on the back row on the 50 watching the first half. I'm sure he's not to worried. Plano doesn't have the speed or talent to hand with Athletic teams like SGP :p

To my knowledge, we've never sold seats on the grass at Clark Stadium. At least I've never been to a game that did that.

Hear you Butch, the grass in the endzone on the south end of John Clark Field used to be open to the public. Also, attendees of the game used to be able to move freely between the home and visitors sides. Suppose things just change from time to time.

Regarding Permian and Ratliff Stadium, have not minded losing the home field advantage to Permian and winning the playoff contests against Permian.
