You guys are classy fans. Thank for winning graciously. Losing in the playoffs always hurt, but it's easier when the opposing fans doesn't rub it in your face. It's enough posters that will down Carter anyway.

I wanted the Owls to know that you have a least one Storm fan rootin' for ya!

Mr. Storm. WHAT A GAME! Maybe a classic. Its one of those where its a shame somebody has to loose. The Dallas morning news called it a slugfest, and coach Wilsons statements were class as usual. I hope we play the Cowboys again, but dang, lets wait a while.

Thanks Cowboy! I knew that this game was going to be really close, but both teams played hard and I am sorry to have to see ya'll go. I know it is difficult to lose in the playoffs(I would have been heartbroken without more Garland football), but ya'll have NOTHING to be ashamed about. You have a great team and we look forward to seeing ya'll next year.

You'd have to make the playoffs first. Great game Carter, thanks for being good losers and not on here making excuses.

Great game Carter and congrats on a great undefeated regular season...a feat for any 5A team.

I was just wondering, because I could pretty much only see teh Carter side...how was teh total attendance and the split for Garland attendance vs. Carter attendance...Carter seemed to have quite a few people.

By the end of the game our side was pretty much full from 10 to 10. There was a huuuuge crowd. We better bring the fans to Waco!! I'm sure we will.

Good question. Carter had most of the first level full between the 20's. I know the Garland side got more crowded from about the mid 3rd qtr. on, with a BUNCH of South fans showing up.BTW, I wonder if the Texas stadium people will turn on the jumbotron TV, for the SLC game. Not for Garland-
Carter though. hmmmmm.

I guess it just didn't strike them as particularily worthy of jumbotron-ness...it kind of made me mad because it was hard to see right up on the front row, but i lived.

I will answer the attendance dispute considering I was on the field (well at halftime)... Garland probably had at least 7500 there - probably between 7500 and 9000 - (thats estimating a few empty seats that had people who were eating/using the restroom). I would say we had about 30% more than Carter did.

There is a fee attached to the jumbotron. Pay the fee, it's on.

The Mesquite stadiums have the jumbotron for All games. But then if the Garland schools played there we would home field advantage. lol. BTW did yall see a lot of traffic on the way back? I went to the square, and LBJ was about 10 to 20mph all the way to the high 5. Texas stadium at 6 on Friday is not good. But I guess its great for the players.

Well I have no negative comments, nor excuses except that I wish that my 4 hour dirve would've resulted in win...lol, but that's the way the cookie crumbles sometimes....great physical game. Old school smash-mouth at it's best.

Garland......your kicker/punter....he is special, hats off to that young man.
Now that the cowboys are out you'd better take it to them all esp. Leander!!!(If you guys play).....

I too see a bit of a rivalry starting to form who knows what next year holds

They shut down 75 north @ the high 5. When I left at half time of the SG game, it was backed up to the Galleria, so I just exited and took Preston Rd.

I probably wont make it to next weeks game. It was hard enough to make it to Texas Stadium for a 6 kickoff, even harder to make it out to Waco in time... I guess the Owls better win so I can see them again! ;)

Good game to those Carter Cowboys, hard fought game that could have gone either way. Good luck next year!

Yes, the kicking game was a big factor in the game. I like your comment about "old school school-smash mouth" football. Its like here we come right at you, try to stop us, for both sides. The big question on first and second down was, is the run going over left tackle or right tackle. All the time knowing that coach Wilson was setting up the long pass. Some people in the know I was with at the game said there were a BUNCH of DI players on the field. Again, great game, and great program.

I left the South game with about 3 minutes left. I was the point man in the traffic stop. They were setting up a road block to do road work and a cop car pulled in front of me and stopped us and we had to wait about 10 minutes until the road crews set the cones. That was the reason for the delay through the high 5. The traffic was stopped for about 10 minutes.
