GHS vs Copperas Cove or Leander.
SG vs Lufkin (or Hays)
Theres a lot of work to do before thinking about that...
Great job, Colonels!

Did anyone that attended the Garland game stay for the South game? I was there for the first half, and I was completely bored. Garland fans are always celebrating or cheering, and the SG fans just sat there until they made a first down or scored. I'm used to clapping, hollering, or doing something when Garland is on O or D, but everyone around me was dead silent. Im not ranting on the SG fans, just trying to state my observation ;).
*edit* Good Job Colonels... never thought I would say such a thing...

I couldnt agree more. I was saying that to my friends as we were sitting there watching the game. We were thinking... gosh we are standing up the whole game and noone was up. The only time you got a clap or holler was on a big play.

I thought it was hilarious when some Garland students with the propane tanks came to our section and tried to get the fans going... silence and a little laughter is all they got in return. Then they tried the "Lets go Colonels" chant which failed miserably... I guess the SG fans arent used to cheering in the playoffs! ;)

I was standing up and cheering for SG with my friend (who lives in Ennis). There were about three other guys around us who were excited, and that was it. Not to rag the SG fans or team, but it seemed odd that Garland fans seemed more excited for the Colonels than SG fans did...

I didn't stay for the game (gotta go to the square, man), but it sounds kinda disheartening that the SG fans seem to have nothing in the way of 'Gaters or, of course, super owls.

It's a good thing we had a big lead going into halftime cause' we played like crap in the 2nd half. It was nice to see some Garland fans there. I was at the Garland/Carter game. I sat behind one of the endzones.
GO 11-5A!! GO EAGLES TODAY!!!!! GO OWLS AND COLONELS NEXT WEEK!

not only were the garland fans more excited for south, but when i looked around it seemed like i saw more garland fans also. if thats the case south needs to put all the garland fans on a bus and take them with them next week

were you sitting with the senturies?
No, I was sitting right behind the goal post. The Senturies were to my left. The "Colonel" came and sat with us. The Bells came and sat right behind us.
Good luck next week Garland! A rematch between SG and G-Town in the regional finals would be mindblowing!!

Hey kids, the South fans, in general, have always been more interested in socializing that cheering the team. I had two kids go there and I had to endure them for 6 years. I didn't go very often because the fans depressed me. Give me a Garland fan any day. Garland women fans talk more football than most South men do.......it's a fact.
