Well, all the UIL did was take the Championship away from Carter and award Judson a 1-0 win, while Lufkin had their loss turn into a win by forfiet. That is the way this will be. Unfortunately, I'd have to agree . . . based on what I think I know, LH would advance. But I'd also have to agree with Big Arab, it wouldn't be fair to LV based on the paperwork submission timing (but hey, life ain't fair (officials/raining yellow flags)) . Yes several games have been forfeited over the years due to inelgible players but if that same team has already played their next game then *cough* that team they forfeited to *cough* does not get to play anymore. 1.) I just spoke to a LHS Viewette and she said it was common knowledge that LHS Coaches and Administration knew they (SG) had played an inelligeble player as early as Monday; and that LHS Administration submitted the appropriate paperwork at that time.
2.) If so, and it caused LH to advance. It would be just like my grandmother used to say, "God don't like ugly."

Like I said, I don't know . . . only time will tell. . .
That sounds like me in the flag football playoffs one time in the Air Force. I knew during the regular season that another team was using an ineligible player and didn't say anything, but told the Head Coach. When they beat us in a playoff game, I wanted to use it, but the coach didn't want to. I couldn't do anything because I was the Assistant and not the Head Coach.

It's like the hockey teams that know a player is using an illegal stick and wait to spring it when it works the best. Some players switch sticks between the 2nd and 3rd just so the other team doesn't catch them and get a power play.

Realization is tough pill to swallow. . . unfortunately the line forming to play basketball will only get longer over the next few weeks . . . that's guaranteed!!! Again, no matter how you look at it, whether you play 11 weeks, 12, 13, etc., there will be many teams to join LV on the B-ball court. There will be only two teams left when the little rubber balls (turf balls) clear. With this possibility a reality, you'd think that the teams left would opt for humility. There were some more added to this B-ball list this weekend; and subsequently, there will be more next weekend, and the following and so on. . .
