This was bound to happen. Westfield is going to state this year. i just wished they would play Longview and shut them up this year but SG did that already.
Congratulations to Westfield (my old high school) beating North Shore! I only hope Westfield continues to stay focused and wins state! Go Westfield!

Yes, but in the other direction. Monty is a heck of a post-season team.

The funny thing is I hear that strength of schedule doesn't matter. I still say the better districts get more teams further in the playoffs.

There will be 24 teams left in 5A after today. At least 80-85% will be from the top 16 districts and not the bottom 16.

the better districts have the better teams, that is what makes the districts better. There are teams though where they only have one good team where their teams make it very far. The North Shore district is a prime example.

Well, that wasn't the case tonight. La Porte is still in there, carrying the flag for district 23-5A. North Shore ran into a tough Westfield team and got beat early, Deer Park screwed around and let a sub .500 team beat them. La Porte is still in it. Go Dawgs!
