Nope. I am just happy cause I go to Tech, and its thanksgiving break... so I will be in Dallas!!! I heard Waco Stadium is nice. Last I remember Garland playing in Waco, it was at Baylor stadium and it was Tech vs Austin Westlake in 1999.

The game was just like most expected, alot of hard hitting defense by both sides. I don't think there was a play over 20 yards all night. Congrats to Carter on a great year.

I have alot of respect for coach Wilson's teams. Garland's defense played more disciplined tonight, they did a good job of containing on the edges compared to last week against JT.

I have seen Waco Stadium before, they have the same press box as Williams Stadium in Garland, and the rest of the Stadium looks alot like the new Kimbrough Stadium in Murphy/Plano. Its very nice, and plenty big enough.

I'm a happy man! It was nice meeting garlandowl08 and garland06 tonight... what an amazing game - best performance from the Owl defense all year. Props have to go out to the coaching staff - they shut down everything that worked so well for Carter in the first game.

2 hours and 10 minutes of sheer excitememt! I LOVE THE PLAYOFFS!!!

Defense from the heart. Hunter was a little off - but we played our butts off on defense - Antwine and Crosby had incredible games - and Antwine played most of the game - I think our rotations earlier in the year helped for this.

Both teams played good but Garland played better obvoiusly. This game was won in the trenches were the first go around our lines were getting beat of the line off scrimmage, but in this game we controlled the line of scrimmage and were able to move the ball on the ground against them. I personally want to make sure Verity gets tons of props for another great punting performance. He has been great at getting the ball off high and bouncing in the other teams territory. Great win for us lets just hope this momentum keeps going. You could definately tell Garland wanted this game more tonight. Our players played disciplined with what like three penalties, and our linebackers were not bighting on all the fakes but staying home and covering there assignment.


And how about the noise baby!!! We had it rockin on the whole side especially with our propane tanks. To all the Garland fans on here..................I will see you in Waco

Kind of unfortunate that Carter had to lose Bailey at halftime - but the Carter posters here havent used that as an excuse (I didnt expect they would). Does anybody know if #5 BJohnson was hurt for the Owls? He wasnt in the last few series of the game...or does anybody know of any other injuries? I talked to Malcolm and he said he would most likely be playing this week but I will believe it when I see it. I wish I knew something about Copperas Cove/Leander

The propane tanks were awesome...soooo loud...the only thing I can think of that might top it is an air horn from a big rig...and im trying to find one that I can rig up with paintball air tanks...

I'm pretty impressed. Garland played a really good game on D. It looked like Carter had 5 yard holes but they were closed so fast. There were a few if any gains of more than 10 yards in the second half for Carter. Even though i go to berkner, i live in garland... so keep it up owls

The players were hyped up for the game and bringing in a little something extra added to the excitement. When the players were down, all the fans were there screaming and encouraging them on. I got home at 5 on friday and went straight to the game. It was a great and i'm so ready to roadtrip it to Waco.

Even though I can't go to the game cause of work! I'm telling all my family down in Waco, to go to the game and plus everyone at school and around the area to go to the game. This game is gonna be awesome. With the Gators support this year and bringing all the propane tanks, this is by far the best football season of all. We are finally bringing back school spirit we have been waiting for. Thanks so much guys!! So no matter who it is, tell everyone to bring whatever can make nosie. No one should walk in the stadium empty handed.

Are you kidding me. Maybe you don't see it but it was kinda dying. My freshmen year we were most school spirted in the area. Now its like we have to push people to cheer for our team. But you know what you have your opinion of what school spirit is and I'm not trying to say its been lost forever and that we have finally got it back. But it was dying a little bit.

Don't knock the entire student section when you say dumb stuff. Garland has NOT lost any spirit to anything but graduation, and neither should you. And plenty of people were still cheering during the Naaman game. And the Sachse game. and the Lakeview game. And the East game.

Good post. Some of us felt the same way about Lee last year. I felt like they turned into state champs at the half of that game. I hope the Owls can move it on uo. One point aint much!

They weren't my friends, just amking an observation...I was by no means saying that the student section was losing spirit, just saying there have been times with more spirit than others...I always stand the whole game except during an injury or some halftime shows...
