The first half was very much a pound it out type half... We had 4 possessions (1 of the 4 was 30 seconds before half so I wouldnt exactly count it) and 2 of them we scored TDs on... 14-0 Halftime...

2nd half we scored 2 TDs in the 3rd quarter and then pulled all of our starters at the start of the 4th quarter up 28-0... Elsik then scored their two TDs... Elsiks offense was able to move the ball probably better than anybody has all year against us because of all the misdirection but couldnt get passed the 30 yard line no matter how hard they tried (until our starters were pulled)...

Anyways to sum it up - it wasnt as close as the score showed really... It was a blow out...

Daniel Neumann had another TD catch making it 5 in as many games... And it was one beautiful catch too (he could have many more but we didnt throw much during the Jersey Village game, and we only threw to him once against Northbrook - 34-0 at halftime was bad enough)...

Good game, good win... Taylor is next week... That will be a tough game... But we have shown our ability to pass (since everything Ive heard says their run d is very good)... And we have 2 great safeties to defend against the long ball... So Im confident yet cautious heading into Taylor, Saturday at 6 at Tully...

yes taylor is a good team, i wouldnt look at the shs game as a indicator, shs stole that one with 2 td's the last 10 minutes
even though its 2 weeks off, who do you like in the str-elsik game since you have seen both teams play? i think we beat sw lose to strake, so that game will be big in terms of playoffs

Its hard to say... The Elsik defense wasnt very good against the run at all... But if Stratford is having a hard time keepin their Oline healthy, that might even it out...

Elsiks offense is simple but effective... U just have to accept that they will get a couple of first downs because of all the misdirection that goes on... The good news is when they do choose to pass their WRs drop the easy catches so if u can get them to a 3rd and 5 or 6 u should be fine...

Id pick Stratford in a close one... The key is being aggressive and attacking that defense, while essentially running a bend but dont break defense... Elsik is good at getting 5ish yards a play, but if they get penalized or if u catch em behind the line of scrimmage thats what usually kills their drives... They also run a lot of options... Forcing ur CBs and Safeties to come up and make the stop on a consistant basis...

The score will probably be something like 24-21 Stratford
