AUSTIN, Texas -- With its current Top 2 rankings in both The Associated Press' football and men's basketball polls, The University of Texas has moved into some select company. This marks just the seventh time in NCAA history that one school ranks among the Top 2 in the AP poll in football and men's basketball at the same time.

Texas is just the fourth school to accomplish the feat, joining Michigan, Notre Dame and Ohio State. It also marks the first time since Jan. 14, 1986 (Michigan) that this has been achieved.

basketball is my sport and they are incredible, funny thing is our baseball team is better than both our basketball and football...you saw the dominance in the CWS last year by our all freshman starting rotation...hell they might not lose a game this year, and literally every good player out of high school wants to play for UT, the program's accomplishments and augie are just unparalleled anywhere in college sports

What a year to be a Longhorn... National Titles in Baseball, Football, and possibly Basketball if they can stay healthy!!!!

Preseason poll :rolleyes: North Carolina from the ACC won the title so don't forget that :D And guess what Duke form the ACC is #1 :p

Junkie.. name a school that has a better all around sport "Program" in all 3 of those sports ? Hmmmmmmmmmmm,,, I'm waiting . ;)

Oh ya... track and swimming , Texas aint bad either.

Being Cameron Crazie you also have to rember who plays Texas. you know that one team that has got the Mens olympic basketball team coach. you know that team called the Duke Blue Devils who has one of the top recruiting classes and has 2 all ammerican players. That will be the game to watch #1 vs #2 if texas and duke keeping going strong. Duke will beat Texas though from the shotting skills of JJ Reddick and the defensive power of Shelden Williams and Sean Dockery. texas has a good chance to lose monday night to west virginia

no one is saying, or at least not a basketball guru like myself, whether or not UT is better than duke. all we are saying is that this is the third sport they have an amaizing team in. see any time i read a thread downing texas from another school i know its an incognito aggy or sand aggy. they have nothing good to say about their own teams so its like hey well i bet duke will beat texas...for sure two of the top 5 teams in the country at that game though, without a doubt both could be final four teams.

Hint it's not Texas and they are not from the BIG XII :p

that is not what this thread is about. It is about a school that has exceptional teams in all of the revenue sports. Which school in the ACC is better overall at all of the revenue sports

hint: its not florida st, virginia tech, miami, duke, wake forest, nc state, UNC, virginia, maryland, boston college, clemson, or georgia tech
