Well they had a great game plan and out played Lufkin and won this game. that is all you can say you can talk about the turnovers and everything else but that is football. Lufkin just got beat by a better team. Period.

Good Luck on the season Tigers.

Lufkin well back to the drawing board.

Can we just give The woodlands the game and save a trip and with the economy all bad and things lets just save the lights and gas and food at woodforest stadium.

Conroe had a great gameplan with Greenwood out (not sure why?) Congrats to the Tigers - obviously some of you saw this one as a potential. Hats off to Conroe. Not over just yet - but looks like it will end at 27-11.

Just got back from the game.

All I can really say is Congrats to Conroe!! you played a heck of a game and good luck next week to you.:(

Nice job Conroe, we are looking to see you next week. That will be a fun game with the momentum of both teams.

Funny I was thinking the same thing. I wonder if Greenwood being out threw Lufkin off.

By the way Fav, if your daughter is still in the dance team, tell her I really enjoyed their performance. They were great. The Band and the Majorettes were awesome as usual.

I have to agree... the drill team and bad were amazing.. I played in Band while at conroe, and perfer corp style marching.. but Lufkin puts on a very clean military routine.... thats the first time I can remember an opposing band getting a standing ovation from the home side in Conroe in a LONG TIME.

Thanks 98 and cavdad. Unlike the football team, the band, drill team and majorettes are doing great - and really getting to be a force. We have about 35 marching freshmen, lots and lots of diversity and all 3 groups work really hard. The band is in great shape for years to come.

Last year we might have complained a little if they went over 3 or 4 minutes - not this year - lol!
