The one that has the most points at the end of the game.

Jeesh-how many times and in how many ways can we ask this same question.
Live for today-don't count chickens, and all that stuff.

does anybody actually admit to having a weak district, or weak region? I would like to finally see someone say that their own team has a cake walk. It seems as every team is in the hardest district or hardest region and all the others are cake walks...Thats not my opinion thats just what most people seem to feel like.

All the regions have their week districts and teams. This year it seems that RIII and RIV have the weakest group of districts and teams. Nevertheless, every game is a potential loss, even to a weaker team. You must play each game as if it is a championship game. So all this talk about this team has an easy road, that team had an easy district, it all comes down to "Did you beat every team you were pitted against?" If not, you weren't good enough to make it to the finals. Either division, any classification. You can argue or justify why you are not there, point is you ain't there. Win against whoever you meet and you will take home the chalice! It's that simple! OR IS IT?!?

I've researched some, I agree that region IV has its share of sorry teams but 26-5 is arguably the toughest district in the state. As I recall, it was a region IV team who gave the number one ranked team in the nation a run for its money last year.

Truely amazing that people think Lufkin has no chance because they had a close game vs a non power?? How dare they not win by 35 those losers it is over. SLC just squeaked by a team that was not a top team 10 a few weeks ago also did you forget?? NS did it earlier in the year did you forget?? Katy had a few games were they looked human did you forget?? I actually love these people doubting Lufkin!! These are hs kids and they are human the last time i checked?? Keep doubting Lufkin i really do enjoy it. The expecations are extremely high at school's like SLC, Lufkin, SV, Katy, NS, Judson etc etc and when they have a close game vs a non top 10 team people go wow they are beatable and they are correct in that assumption. Everybody is beatable on a any given day. It just does not happen to the top programs very often and it is rare when a team blows out all of their competition. Sometimes you have to win when you are not playing your best and the other team is bringing it. That is a true test of a winning team.

Great post.

Every team has a game in which they play a weaker team, but here's something to keep in mind. There are a select group of maybe up to 20-25 top teams out there. Everybody knows them and respects them. We also have 71 other playoff teams that aren't as known but some of them are very good. Many times you find out how good they are after they play a top team very tough. Some might say Denton Ryan is a very good team. There are Denton Ryan's in every region, but the people from the other regions don't realize that. SA O'Connor is a Denton Ryan and so is San Marcos. They aren't chumps. The San Antonio teams in D1 and D2 only get 1 game against the Valley/Corpus/Laredo (except 27 who gets beat this week). D1 R3 has an easy one in Week 3.

2 points for Pack. I'd take 4 close wins and beating Westfield last year over the blowouts and a semifinal loss.

For what its worth, Denton Ryan would smoke San Marcos 100 times out of 100. There is a big difference between these two programs.

I think more than likely, in my own opinion, don't want to ruffle any feathers out there, I'm gonna take a big chance and just say it.

The won that scores the most points in that game.

I heard this same statement on ESPN pre-game. Thought it was brillant.

Outlaw and his boys from Lufkin. I can see it noe.

Claybon drops back he has Bryant deep TD TD TD Lufkin Bryants leaping catch over Will Thompson seals the deal Lufkin wins 21-14 over Katy.

I will come out and say that region 4 is the weakest region top to bottom, but I will also say that the top teams in Region 4 will matchup well with the top teams from other regions on almost any year. We have the valley and cannot help that. Their are fewer elite teams in region 4 but they all come from the San Antonio Area. Judson, Smithson Valley, Clemens, Madison, O'Connor, and San Marcos are probably the most consistent at this time. Now I do not think that this year is a up year for region four and believe that the Semi's is as far as anyone will get, but it is also a year of transition year for most of these programs. Judson (new staff), O'Connor (very young). But I will say that region 4 does not win on talent alone like some of the big dogs from other regions, they win with heart, coaching, and just a better work ehtic.

yes we have an extremely weak district and there is a rumor of it getting even weaker with channelview switching out with la porte.there surely has to be a time where the uil looks at the schedule and says this is stupid.teams like north shore and westfield had an easy schedule all year and some others too.there deffinately needs to be a realignment done, put the weaker teams together and the stronger teams together.in my opinion this will give teams without much of a chance to win actually get some victories.

I disagree. Region four is harder than three, but easier than both regions one and two, with two being the strongest

perceived to be the the weakest reigion because of the superiority of a few teams this year. it will be a region 3 sweep this year. katy & westfield. (and region 4 is actually the weakest because even their tops teams will not be in the finals) :D
