This is as objective as I can be:
Offense: 2 D-1 players in the backfield (Buckram and Garner). They will carry the offense.I doubt that ya'll have seen Buckram type speed this year(he ran the 100 meters at the state meet last year). O line playes well but are small. They do well with our running game but pass protection can be a problem. We are thin at receivers. They block well but have poor hands. We bring secondary players over to O to fix this problem. This is very effective.
Defense: I can't imagine that ya'll have played a faster D than Cove. The secondary, along with our backfield, is the most impressive part of our team. 2 players made all-state last year and all four are 4: 5 or less in the 40.All 4 will play D-1 ball(the 2 senoirs are being heavily recruited) .Of our 3 LB's two have good speed and 1 is slow and can be beat aroung the corner or in coverage.D line is small but active.
Special Teams:We are above average
Final note:I do not know who will win.The QB's seem very similair in their leadership ablilties. We are well coached and I don't think we will be out-coached.We will have a good crowd there .I can't wait! Will someone from Leander do the same. Thanks

I will give it a shot.

Offense: four receivers who catch and block well. A undersized QB who is the team leader and a fierce competitor. A running back who has not had a break out game yet. O-line that is getting better each week on run blocking.

Defense: Swarming,aggressive and quick.

Special Teams:average

Coaching: very good and well prepared for any team

It should be a good game.

All i can say is lets bring it on and get it over with so we know who is the better team. You guys are wearing me out with all these posts. Hell that should be a job to get paid for for posting on the net.

Good reports on both teams. As a neutral, I think Cove wins this one.

Thnx Homer - excellent and balanced analysis my man. And...coming from a Cove fan too - cool.

If, by chance, Lufkin and Cove meet - you'd possibly see the two fastest D's the state has seen in a while.
