Lake Highlands, led by Ricky Zorn and an opportunistic defense wins convincingly 35-14 in this shared-stadium rivalry. This team is getting better and better each game, and the LH/Creekview game is gonna be a barn burner. It's at LH, so I'm really beginning to feel better about that one, especially with the way that LH has played the last 3 weeks. Beating the two district favorites, one on the road and the other as a visitor at your home stadium, tells me something about this LH team. LH/Creekview absolutely will be for the 9-5a title. I'm looking forward to it.
Coach Smith is finally developing something at LH. He's starting to get the system in place in the junior highs like Zoffuto always did and getting the athletes excited about playing for the school again. I'm seeing the good times coming back to the Boneyard finally.

O whatever! What a shame berkner played the way that it did! i'm not going to take anything away from LH. They played a good game, mistake free, while berkner fumbled left and right. It was a shame. Berkner never really got going after that. Good to see them pass the ball without getting picked off! That game was very flat, also i heard a lot of starters from defense did not play. As i said before they are going to have to do something different and maybe they have found a go to receiver now and can take some of the pressure from this triple option. Also they have to work on fumbles.. this is a huge problem and now since 07 class have has gone it really is a big problem. Penalties is a problem.. Berkner was at the game in body but you could just still they weren't ready to play! Lh still played a good game! Would be good if we could see them in the playoffs! Skyline is going to be a even harder test! Hopefully berkner comes to play and stop fumbling so much!!!

I bet LH would love seeing Berkner in the playoffs seeing that LH has now won 3 straight against the Rams even in one of the worst periods of LH football history.

Berkner did not play well at all. The biggest problem with the triple option since LH run it back in the 90s was when you get behind you can't catch up. Berkner went down 21-0 before they even ran a productive offensive series in the first half. LH had it's way with the Berkner defense. I heard in the stands that Berkner was missing 3 starters on defense. I don't think that would have made a difference. The LH players looked huge compared to Berkner. They towered over them at almost every position. I bet you that Berkner doesn't have a lineman on offense or defense that weighs over 230 lbs. LH had the better athletes and won the game early.
