well...all i have to say is...wow. 49-7...geez, i would of never thought that would of been an outcome. Ike came out and punched us in the nose, and its safe to say that this round of coaching goes to Ike. They used looks i haven't seen them use all year....and they executed to perfection. A team that has struggled with silly mistakes was flawless, and a Team that usually can overcome their mistakes was blown off the line. Our miscues and mistakes gave this ball game handily to a new born Ike team. Seriously, they looked like a state title contender tonight. If they play with that intensity every week until Dec 20th...no one will touch them.

Ike executed on our miscues, and made us pay. Congrats on a deserved win, and in my eyes... You are well deserving of the 19-5a crown.


Our youth and inexperience on defense showed big time, and i hope this serves as a good lesson to a young group of kids. Ike wanted this WAY WAY WAY more then Humble did.

this was really surprising to me when a friend was texting me the scores of this game....i thought humble would put up a good fight...yes IKE has the talent.... they didnt make very many mistakes against us.... our defense just put the clamps on them and put the game away in the first half.... ike does have athletes......but i still dont believe this score...i have to see it to believe it..... as good as humble was playing...this score was just hard to believe.....:eek:

Secondly, They have to really focus to get up for this game coming off a big win against Humble. No one can be taken lightly. Last night's game was basically the district championship game, in which Ike won handily. Now this is the hard part, where all they have to do is go 1-0 for the next three games and finish out the district season the way they started. Playoffs should be the farthest thing from their minds right now. Take it one game at a time and then get ready for the big show. Congrats Ike.

Not to look too far ahead, but maybe there will be a rematch in the fourth round of the playoffs. It'll be a good one.

Congrats to IKE. Played a great game against a quality opponent. This may be a springboard to a very good run.

It was good to see Ike put it all together vs. Humble. If they keep improving every week, they should be able to make a good playoff run. I don't think you have to worry about Ike taking anyone lightly or looking ahead. They have Nimitz & Aldine the next 2 weeks both of these are big games for both schools. I have seen some comments concerning the Ike coaches and how they would get out coached? Remember, this is a new staff in their 1st year together. Just like a young team, it will take a while for them to gel and find their comfort zone. Coach Evans should be proud of his team and his coaching staff!!

The fact that it was Homecoming, and the Ike football players came off the buss with 28-26 glaring in those eyes...i knew it would be a train wreck.

Any other night, and it would of been a closer game...but that night belonged to Ike.

then again, we played extra conservative...and deserved to lose. its all good, because next season....its pay back.

Great performace by Ike though...Ill be rooting for yall in the PO's
