Yup. Worlds largest screen is being attached from the bottom of the first floor all the way to the very top of the skyscraper. Screen will cover the entire side of the building.

Wonder how much they will be charging for advertising on the screen. Wouldn't mind watching the Cowboys play... from several miles away.

Definition of excessive right here.

Like the people who live in the city and never go off-road but drive a Hummer....more money than brains.

Why? What will it show? How far away will you have to be to actually see anything on it?

I wouldn't mind hooking a 360 up to that bad boy and starting up a Madden tourney.

If I had the money I would be cruising around in an H1 every single day. Just wanted to throw that out there.

As far as the viewing distance... the "optimal viewing distance" would be approximately three fifths a mile away.

Yup. Not Madden though I'd rather hook up some NCAAF.

Watching one of those colonoscopy things would be pretty cool, too. Just thought I'd through that out there.

The reason they're spending so much on all this stuff is to protect their economy.

They have realized the oil money will dry up, so they're turning their city into a worldwide luxury vacation center to make up for that loss of oil revenue when the wells go dry.

I say smart move. You know people from all over the world will go there and spend money there to see it.

How will we all get there once the oil dries up?

In all seriousness, they are dreaming if they think that people are going to want to trek out to the freaking desert to see garish, shiny, flashing buildings and waste money on frivolous entertainments.....Oh. Wait. Keep doing what you are doing, Dubai.

I'd love to go to Dubai because they have beaches... I definitely would not love to go to Vegas.

Apparently something like this been already been done here in the states in Atlantic City... just the screen isn't nearly the resolution as the one for Dubai.
