View Full Version : Why...

...does my cat, who ignores me 20 hours out of every day, have to get between me and the monitor when I am online?

Any Science Majors out there? Perhaps a Philosopher?

And another thing, when there is a loose stack of papers on ONE corner of my otherwise clean desk, why does the same cat have to climb up on it? Usually ending with papers on the floor and an angry cat wondering where her "cushion" went.

This one I DO know. Cats purr when they are happy. Cats purr when they are scared. Cats purr when they are content. Cats purr when they are hurt. Cats purr when they are mad. Cats purr when they are...you get the picture? Purring is the cat's self-comforting mechanism.

Or so they told me at the Holiday Inn Express...

I like dogs more.

You bet them and they just become little whores...just let you pet them and pet them until you don't want to anymore, then they get mad you ain't petting them anymore...

Cats are actually furry dominants from four-legged d/s frolics. They are in charge and are going to let you know it. Your purpose is to pay attention to the cat when and where the cat demands it. I can deal with this; it's when the mobile furball decides she needs to be paid attention to about 4:00am that gets to me.

Yours only comes between? Mine gets on the desk to where I can't see the monitor and stares at me or plays with the cursor...drives me crazy!

There is no way to explain cats. Dogs are easy - feed, pet and talk to them and they are putty.

My cats were all strays that I brought in. One lived on my roof for weeks. Darla is her name and she is a furry princess and the others stay away. Hondo followed me home as a kitten and is the warrior and protector of the cats from the dogs...even though they all hang out together anyway. Goldie is the nervous one and she will come to you when she is good and ready. Milo - he's my man. He purrs, talks, makes biscuits (cat owners will know that one), loves everyone and is always in your face. Even the Shepherds like Milo.

Cat's are funny animals. Goes back to Egyptian days and it isn't changing anytime soon.
