Condoms encourage sexual activity. Besides, the kids know where to get them if they need them. Handing out chastity belts might work better:rolleyes:, This issue starts and ends at home. As far as I am concerned the schools need to stay out of it. Next they will be handing our clean syringes.:(

If the parents give their consent, why can't these folks just head on down to their friendly drug store or whereever and buy some condoms? It's not like they're hard to locate or otherwise obtain.

No, the problem wasn't de-regulation, or even good regulation (which we should have had more of). The problem was bad regulation. Various interests pestered the government into pressuring banks to quit acting like rational banks and hand out these high risk loans to people who should never have had them, typically minority and poor who had trouble getting good loans; apparently these interests and the government thought that banks acting like actual, you know, banks was somehow racist. If they didn't, the government slapped them with fines.
The reason behind this was to get people into homes who should have been living in apartments and lock-up votes. Congress enacted this crap specifically for racial and economic bean-counting. This is why I absolutely despise Congress right now.
Have you seen the mortgage default rates? I posted them on another thread. Companies are having more problems with the inability to trade the HUGE securities than they are with their CWO on the actual loans.
