I might be wrong (but I doubt it) but doesn't it seem to most of yall that the region III folks on here seem to be more civil to each other than posters from other regions? I see a whole lot more mudslinging from Region IV and II posters than anything else.

Westfield speaks with their feet. They don't have to smack talk cause they walk the walk. Northshore still has a few kids with state rings. They don't have to brag. They just hold out the hand. I'm the official Northshore bragger.
I'm Dan the Fan. I will root for Westfield if they beat NS on friday. But if Northshore wins I am going to take a picture of the NS coaches. It will be the definition of joy. Can't wait. This is what competition is all about. You won't want to miss this game.

the katy-strake thing to me is a dead issue. i'm sick of it, and i was one that attended their game last week and cheered them on.

as far as ns/pearland, when you're playing a team that week that's expected. but with other regions, even if poster's teams arent facing each other that week, they still bad mouth them

Most of the real trash was dished out by two players for Pearland. The Northshore posters were civil until these two young guys got personal.
If they could have spelled five words in a row correctly..... no wait I won't go there. Then it was egged on by outside sources....some region 1 people and some region 2 people;and the caca hit the fan. But in the end it was settled on the playing field. And that is what is so great about sports.... you can't ENRON a state championship, or even a district championship, you have to get it with sweat and sometimes a little blood. ThEgReAtOne had our back in the smackdown. The only reason it got so nasty was because Pearland has never beaten Northshore and still came with that attitude. I would look like the biggest fool if I said that crap to Westfield after what they proved ON THE FIELD last year. So it was not about NS's lack of respect for Pearland, it was about two young men that needed a little guidance from their elders.

I know, Just like Denton Ryan and Carroll fans won't talk crap with each other because of respect. But does this make the fans of Region I better than the fans of any other region? No.

Don't get your feelings hurt. Regional pride can be a good thing in small doses. I'm sure you Dragon People are just fine. I'm rooting for Garland in your side of the bracket though.

my feelings are not hurt and it is hard to show emotion on a message board. I am just trying to point out that the fans of Region III teams are no better than any other region

You don't have to give me a civics lesson. I know what you are saying. I also know that there are people on this board nicer than you or me. And they might just live in REGION THREE. If you can't tell I'm pulling your chain, then I don't want to play anymore. Good Luck in the playoffs.

Really, the Katy/Strake thread was smokin' hot for a while... Now it's playoff time and I think most of us have moved on...

Dragon, I think AZ was talking about being "more civil" not better... More civil does not mean better...

But I'll admit I don't read all of the threads from the other Regions...

Im a Katy fan and that Katy Strake post has been the only thread about katy all year. Its been kinda boring and hope it starts to heat up here about the region finals
