Truly being honest, I have no idea of what is going to happen on Friday. These two teams are capable of doing anything on both sides of the ball. This game could be a shootout or it could be a rather low scoring game. It could be lopsided. I think it going to come down to who wants it more.

Just my 2 cents..i havent seeen north shore play but i did see spring westfield play last year against lee...and its just hard for me seeing ANYONE beat them.

I think if anyone has a chance of beating them this year, NS does. There are a lot more focused this year. I only have one thing to say about this game.... Speed kills... There seems to be speed on both sides of the ball from both teams.

So I don't really think Dave knows what he's talking about half the time. It could be old age or it could be that he doesn't get out of the San Antonio area or where ever it is he is from.

As for my thought on this game if We show up as we did Friday night against Pearland then we have a good chance of keeping the streak alive. If Cain comes out and is timid in anyway or gets rattled then we may have some trouble.

I believe that if NS comes out like they did against pearland...they have a good chance of knocking westfield off... and that will be no easy task...however, i do think that NS can hang with westfield, as long as they stay focused and keep thier game plan they should be ok....this will no doubt be a daunting task but it can be done.. NS is playing well.... they are playing at home.... if they are gonna take down this westfield team.. now is the time..... NS does however return 35 players from this team next year... so....the future looks good... but the future is also now. this friday. :eek:

I could give you semi professional scouting reports(about as good as Lonny, but with not as many Judson references) for a semi-fee. I hope you pick the Mustangs this week.... I always liked the underdog role. I only played on two teams my entire life that were favorites. That's fifteen years of playing. So I know what it feels like to prove somebody wrong and upset some team. It feels GREAT! You get a different kind of satisfaction. So everyone on this board, all you haters out in Pearland(even you lovers out in Pearland) pick Westfield. Keep the DAVE and CARL karma stong. (Just a lttle dig, Pearland, no hard feelings, OK?)
Northshore has not been the underdog in a while, but they are this week.
Beasley-attempts 62, completions 54....15 touchdowns, 1208 yds, that's a 87% completion rate. That's sick! That's 22.5 yds per completion. Sounds like a job for Chykie Brown and company. Come on Eric Harrison, knock somebody's number off of their jersey! YOU CAN DO IT! Everybody on Defense..... Make like Courtney Lane and hit em like a freight train!

I like how North Shore was supposed to be underdogs to Pearland. Not that Westfield is anything like Pearland, its just that you can never tell what's going to happen until its over with. You can run analysis or anything you want. You can never tell what they are going to be like until they face one another.

BDC you hit the nail on the head. If there is no let down from last week and Cain can get gritty, Shore will have a chance. I believe the home field advantage will work in NS's favor of them. I pick Shore by 7 and feel good about it although I am not naive about WF. They may run all the way to state.
I noticed there is no smack being tossed around by either side this week as both sides feel they are up against a monster. I look for WF to blitz a lot as they have speed on defense. Prlnd had some success with that but Shore burned them on it also. Those 35 returning players from NS will wreak havoc next year, maybe in a new district, but that is then and this is now. This is next year. Let's go North Shore! Time to show what you are made of.......(again).

Well now not to drag up old bones, but if you will remeber the trash didn't start getting strown about until they(Pearland) started throwing it. Why they felt we didn't respect them is beyond me. Never did one of say they were not a talented team nor did they have a chance. We were doing what any fan would do and picking our team to win. I guess for them seeing as they hadn't and still haven't beat us they felt disrespected by so many picking us to win instead of them. As for this week all teh talk that needs to be done was done last year on a cold and rainy day at Lenord George Stadium. They(Westfield)came ready to play and We(North Shore) obviously didn't.

North shore loses this one, as much as i would love north shore to win this its not going to happen. North shore has problems playing agaisnt teams with equal if not better speed and power. This Westfield team is much better then last year. They have ever gun loaded and ready to fire. They are a very balanced team. i think there Qb has throwen 1 Int out of how many passes? This game will come down to mistakes...and North shore is just not as Tuned and effecient as this westfield team. Plus there is the fact that they came so close to winning and lost a game they shouldnt have...they want this...and they will take it...and take it big....

There are not any other teams except WF that equal NS in speed and talent so how could they have those problems if they have not played WF this year yet? That's correct about the trash talk. I just have not seen anyone from WF or NS putting it out there this week. And yes, WF came last year to play and Shore did not. It should be different this year but we'll see how much Friday.

I would of had to agree with you before the pearland game, but if you would have seen how tuned NS actually was last week you would maybe change your mind. NS last year got slaughtered because they werent in the game, they werent focused, and a bit raddled after the pearland game. This year its a little diff. they are actually firing on all cylinders and focused and dont look for them not to be pumped up because they are playing on their on turf. I believe that if they come out like they did against pearland they have a strong chance. This should come down to whoever has the ball last. But if either one of these teams doesnt come out good it might be a blowout like last year. I havent seen Westfield this year but everyone that i have talked to that has thinks Ns will pull this out. Man i hope so but i guess ill just have to wait till friday. Good luck mustangs and im talking about for both teams.

I just really believe in the saying defense wins championships and NS defense has the bigger edge on this. Lets hope this stands to be true!!
