im not sure about this, but i believe this is the first time pearland has ever been ranked in the AP state top10..

In 2002 we were top 10 pre-season. I don't remember the exact number but it was actually close to #5.

I think back to back 59-0 wins finally woke the voters up this year.

Without looking can someone tell me Odessa's record? Didn't Permian just beat them pretty soundly?

They are 4-1. How they picked up votes after losing like they did just shows you what this poll is worth. They are a very good team that is capable of advancing a couple of rounds in the playoffs, but not a top 10 team.

I agree coriv, They have a very good team this year. The only time I will not root for OHS is when they are playing MOJO, Other than that I am 100% Odessan.

This poll has no credibility as it has Trinity rated at least 15 spots too high. They are not beating teams by 40+ so they can't be that good.
