Who wins? This is a pick-em game in my mind. KC defense can slow anybody but can KC offense score enough to win?

wow, i cant believe you actually just said that the collins defense can slow anybody down. i guess we will see if your right when they actually play teams with an offense (forest, westfield, oak). now im not putting them down because i love their new coach and what he has instilled in those collins kids already and i think they are already so improved. collins allowed conroe to get over 5.00 yards per carry and almost 250 rushing yards. collins stuffed cy fair, but who hasnt this season, have they even scored an offensive td yet? and the best showing was against klein, but even the bearkats havent shown much offensively yet, and then theres tomball. so slowing them down means giving up 256 yards in the air? now after saying all of that let me say again that im VERY impressed with collins and coach svoboda so far but they have yet to play the big dogs they need to beat to even reach the post season. now if they beat spring i will say they have a good shot at making the playoffs, unfortunately as you said they just lack offensive explosion right now.

Just ask Conroe about our defense and look at what they can do.
I agree, CyFair was bad.
Tomball gained 150 of their yards against 2nd teamers. The first long TD to Leslie was a back-up defender because #21 was out for a rest. The second TD was 5 minute drive for 75 yards against all 2nd and third teamers.
We can go 3-2 or we can go 1-4 down the stretch but I think you have not seen the defense in person or you may have different opinion.

Spring by 14. KC has made improvements but are no match for a Westfield, KF or Oak team.

So I have seen Klein Collins up close and personal....in fact multiple occasions. I believe the run defense is very effective, I think the pass defense is weak. Klein has a run first mentality...thus the score of 6-2 Klein. Tomball has a pass first offense and gained lots of yards against Collins...(garbage time or not). The Klein Collins offense is not effective against a good defensive team. It seems to revolve around Ross Peters ability to run. He is good, he is no Russell Shepherd. Malcolm, Kenneth and Jamichael are decent but not in the elite catagory...and yes Malcolm is a hell of an athelete...
Klein Collins needs to focus on getting better every week. I am a true Fan of the new Coach. However just because you put up scoreboard on a team that was slated to finish last or second to last in District 13-5A does not mean that you can beat the big dawgs...Westfield, Oak or Forest...For that matter Klein is in a rebuilding year with majority of skill positions filled by Juniors...if you can't beat that team well you know the answer...

actually i have seen them play twice so far this season. and so you think all the other teams will not throw the ball to your backup cb while 21 is taking a breather?? thats part of the game of football. and ya about the conroe game, they had almost 250 rushing yards and averaged over 5.0 yards per carry,.....

Fair enough. Surprised you do not respect that defense. 21 will be back at OLB from here on out. I doubt we would have been resting 21 if we were not up by 27 at the time.
Conroe has a pretty good RB itself. No DWilks but D1 for sure and we stopped him on 4th and 1 twice in second half.
I do agree we have our toughest 4 ahead of us.

Also, you seem to watch a lot of 13-5a, how did Spring lose to Tomball?

now your misquoting me! trust me i respect the collins defense and they have done sooo much improving already! they will be back before too long. and yes conroe rb lou greenwood is awesome and i love him! however, he does not have the blocking up front that he needs. now as far as spring vs tomball that is a crazy one. the spring defense played VERY well. tarhini threw for only 114 yards and leslie had 4 rec for 87 yards. the tomball defense had a game plan defensively and came out VERY hungry and executed it perfectly. the ike hangover took its toll alot more on spring and the cougars were just looking at this spring game as their super bow and they got it done. also late in the game mcneal was playing injured (mcneal didnt play at all this weekend) and threw that int that sealed the deal for tomball while hurt.

Do you know who is playing at QB this week? McNeal or #1? Any comments on #1, sr., junior, run/pass ability?

Fair enough. Spring has a lot of talent on defense and that worries me the most. We may have trouble moving the ball. I hope McNeal is OK. He is fun to watch.

your dead right, the spring defense has ALOT of talent on it and is just hasnt put it all together yet for 4 quarters. however, they are getting better and have a solid def-coor in a guy who came over from klein forest last year as their def-coor. this game will be a big sign on how spring is going to do for the rest of this season. if they lose, dont expect them to make the playoffs. if they do win big, id pencil them in #4 right now. and dont you worry, you will see alot of mr. mcneal at wr next year in college station! lol

Is Jamichael playing RB anymore? I did not see any stats on him last week...

Yes he is. The stat guy at Tomball was way off. He didn't get too many carries but more than the 1 because they were giving us option 1 and 2 (FB and QB) all night long so no reason to pitch. We ran veer most of the night then switched to I after the big lead and he got some there as well.
Plus, I think he was still sore from the earlier injury thus they didn't push it.

What a nail biter. Spring hits a clutch long field goal to take lead 17-15 with 4 min. left. Collins marching right down Spring throat afetr being stymied all the second half and scores with 1:40 left. Spring come back down field (I hate prevent) and comes up short at the 3.
