This will be a quick game with both teams using the power rushing game. Garland will line up in the Wing T and run right at you while Carter just stacks the line and let the bruisers get it done between there massive O-Line. Garland struggled a little bit with O-Line from Tyler that was big and they face an even more bigger dominating O-Line led by Big Baily. Carter pulled out the Win against Garland earlier in the year 21-14 after they had struggled a little bit with 0-10 Arlington but since then the Cowboys have not been tested as they blown by the District competion by a landslide. What will the key this time be for Garland to win or What must Carter do to assure that they pull off another "W" against Garland. This has all the making for a classic and I think this will come down to the very end. I believe that Garland has been clutch in the playoffs in the past years always seeming to pull off the upsets when they need it the most (2003 Damn Owls).

I dont know about that. This Carter is strong. Crabtree I think his name is is very good. BTW some folks may not know this but Carter is actually a 4A size school, about 1850 students, and chose to move up to 5A. They play old style smashmouth, and I think Garland does as well. They will both tee off and run right at you. It is strange to see Carter line up in a tight t, No wide outs (two tight ends) and a full house t backfield. Its like they are saying we are going to run right at you, try to stop us. And play tough, tough D. This game has become a great rivalry. I know that the Owls will show up and play.

They will try to pound Garland with that tunnel pitch they love to run - and look for Crabtree to pick up some yards with his legs, too.

To me, the key will be whether Garland can keep Carter's defense on the field and wear them down. They will play for field position and try to make the field as short as possible.

Dante Sloan was not 100% for JT - having him available will really help the cause, too.

This game will move fast and could be over by 7:50.

Bejellica wins it late with a field goal...

Yes we need a Sloan like he was at Ennis. But I hope Voss plays a bunch. That kid sells some tickets :)

I think it is really great that these two teams have developed a rivalry....it's not like Carter/Kimbal...Garland /South Garland...when it's played for community bragging rights and blood, but this rivalry has much more at stake.

I was there this past weekend for the Creekview game...and will be making abother long haul up to irving to see it go down.

The game is surrounded by so much hype, that it makes you wonder....
When I see Garland....I see Carter...and by saying that Imean...esp. if you look at the stats...both like to run, but they both can and will pass effectively when the need arises. The only difference is how they run....

I wish the best of luck to both squads, and hope no one gets hurt...I think the game will be close and that's all I'll say on that

I would love to see this game in Dallas. Should be a good one.. I would love to see us and the allmighty Carter win so we can have a showdown in Waco after thanksgiving. If we take our game like we should I believe we will beat the winner of this game

All good points CC, this game will be a huge showdown of 2 awesome football teams. May the best team win and if we lose, CarterCowboy, I know you'll continue to be a class act as you always are and we Garland fans appreciate that! So thank you!

As much I support our Owls, like greyowl said, Crabtree is their star player for a reason. I am really not sure what my prediction is for this 'un...I just know I'll get to see two incredible teams in an impressive display of power and speed.

Definitely look for Carter to be the favorite in this one, but you can never count the Owls out. After watching Garland pull it out in the 4th quarter in last weekend's brawl against TJT, I think they have the heart to not only win this one but possibly contend for a state title. Best of luck to both teams,

WE WILL WIN

Two goo0d teams, two very good coach's, Great fans from both schools, I hope the Owls can hang, if so the 4th qtr. will be worth going to Jerryworld. The refs.? beforehand: No comment and you can put that in headlines.
