Where to Play Playoff Games

Reading the Abilene/SLC thread, how do coaches decide where to play the next playoff game? Do they met? Call each other? Decide the week before with the other 2 teams, so that the site is already known once the game is over?

I think usually the four teams get together early and flip or agree on neutral sites. With the Alamodome out of the mix teams are having to reserve stadiums early. If they all want to flip they all four meet and flip against each other as if they had won.

My comments are more for the San Antonio area hence the comment about the Alamodome.

Each school gets with the other 2 potential opponents during the week to work on the site. Sometimes it's done after the games, but it's done mostly before the game. You either agree on a good neutral site or you flip for a home and home choice of your choosing.
