I'm a big J.Jones fan & hated it when my Boyz didn't keep him. I liked the comb-of Barber/Jones in the backfield as speed & power. I like MB but I think that we still needs JJ with him. Here is the stat so for on the two backs.MB started all games 70 car. for 311 yds av. 4.4 ypc Lng 25yds 4tds. 12 rec for 98yds lng 25yds 1td 2 fum L 1 .JJ started 2 games 61 car. for 312 yds 5.1 av. Lng. 32 2tds. 6 rec. for 35 yds lg. 17 0 td 0 fum.pretty close

I was as excited as anyone after Julius' rookie year. Like many folks I thought we had another great Cowboy runner. He was never the same. Regardless of what the reasons for that may be, the fact remains he lost it. It was absolutely the right thing for Dallas to cut him loose. It was absolutely what Julius needed. He may pan out in Seattle. Let's see him get more than a few games under his belt. I'll take Barber as my feature back, if for no other reason than, given the carries, he will move the chains. Perhaps with fewer, explosive runs, but move them more consistently he will. Getting Felix to fill that role was an upgrade, also. He's a better compliment, has superior hands, creates more mismatches and is a stud in the return game. I wish him well but we're far better of now than we were before.

I liked JuliusJones too, but feel like Felix is a big upgrade.

Comparing J. Jones to Barber this season is crazy. Walter Payton, Earl Campbell, Jim Brown, et al wouldn't have any yards either after being eliminated from the gameplan last week. the only team that can stop the Cowboys running game is Dallas.

These two were the only reasons to watch Dallas yesterday. Along with Jason Witten, they appear to be the only impact players we have that don't believe they are as good as their clippings. The rest of this team better focus on how these guys prepare and play, every week. If not, it'll be another off season on shame.

Here is the stats from Sunday's game M.B had 23 cars for 84 yds 2 rec for 8 yds no td & 1 fumb. JJ had 17 cars for 61yds 1 rec for 13yds 0 tds 0 fum. M B played a good game ran hard and north & south most of the time. Pick up hard yrds when we needed them-Dallas would have lost without him keep feeding him the ball. He had help with F.(the cat) Jones over 90yds big play guy ...........smooth. MB 93 car -395 JJ 78 car -373 still close.

It may still be close but you're missing the points. First, Julius hadn't run well for almost two seasons here. He gave away his time as much as anyone took it from him. Second, and this is huge, Felix in Julius' role as the second back isn't even worth comparing the upgrade is so big. He's electricity of the pure variety, not the static kind Jones had morphed into here. Third, let's hold off and see if Jones can maintain. Even during his first two years he was up and down with his performance. I never saw a guy that could consistently go from giving you 180 yards one week to 20 the next like he did. Finally, most wish the kid well. He was never a trouble maker. He just lost his mojo here. It happens. He's young with a good skill set. I'm sure he'll be ok but he was done here and needed this fresh start. That was more than apparent when the switch to Wade Phillips didn't cure his outlook. I wouldn't change a thing from Dallas' perspective. The energy and power Barber brings effects the game in ways that cannot be measured and Felix is amazing.

I agree about what you said about M.B & F. Jones
