i now lufkin is way better than they played against harker heights, and i still think they can go all the way, but what does hays have to offer and what will lufkin need to work on to come out with a win

I wish hays had more people on this site so we can get some good arguments going like we did agains HH those are good it is always good to have a few arguments that is what makes football the best. If lufkin was 0-9 and playing tyler or Longview i would still back them up and say well we will get the win.
GO PANTHERS. LETS WIN against them Rebels.

Well you know...according to one Harker Heights fan...they had over 2000 fans there....ha...yeah right...not even close to 2000.

Afraid that number is way high - sad when a team is not better supported. We could have walked over to their side Wide and sat in 50 yrd. line seat with a back on it. But one HH fan here said be ready for 300 or so fans on the other side - they were pretty close.

Sorry to hear that PT - just keep working and more support will come. In defense of your area - correct me if I'm wrong - but Killeen has added 2 or 3 new hschools recently? That dilutes the fan base pretty quickly unless your a Katy or other top 5 team year in and year out.

I'm pretty sure that I can say with confidence that we will have more fans did HH had and it's almost an hour longer drive for us than HH. The stadium looks huge and that could be the reason why it didn't seem like there were a bunch of people there.
About pressuring the QB, our O-Line is solid and hasn't allowed very many sacks if any because of Nash's ability to scramble. I'm in the process of getting the height and weight of the O-line to give you a sense of the size. But we've always been known for having big good ol' country boys playing football for us, hence the lack of speed. We're built on size not speed which can be both good and bad.

Should be a great match-up between two well deserving teams. I know that Hays has the best RB Lufkin will see this year in Waters and that they are not very fast but real physical. Hays loves to pund the ball with there big bruiser. But Lufkin has already faced one nationally ranked back this season shutting down Klien Collins RB Michael Goodson for under 100 yards. Hays will have trouble keeping Lufkin from scoring because they do not match-up to well with our WR's. Although Hays will probably play keep away they have the ability to score at anytime. But I like my Panthers in this one to wake up and come to play some football but it wont be easy.
Lufkin 35
Hays 14
But closer then the score indicates.

No prediction from me for this game. Hays is a great team @ 10-1 for a reason. The Lufkin team must prove to me they can play at a higher level with the talent they have onboard.
I will be pulling for Lufkin, but I will make no prediction on the outcome. One point better than Hays would be fine with me.
Go Pack!!!!

Come on it was all Short's. Lufkin had 2 sacks in the game but had a chance for at least 9!! The guy would make a spin move or something to get out of it. He was very elusive. He was the whole offense. I was impressed with you though #77!!

I have no idea how good or bad Hays is, but I'm dying to see how far Lufkin goes in these playoffs. Why? Because I'd like to confirm to the rest of the state that HH is a tough team and Lufkin just plain old had their hands full. But, if Hays wins, maybe Lufkin isn't all that. I hope not as that takes a bit away from HH.
At least we can hopefully shut up the trolls that seem to break into every message.
How did HH talk Lufkin into playing in Waco? Seems like an advantage to HH. 300 people? Ouch! If you take all the player parents and band parents you get about 300, right? Ouch!

Note to KT - the Lufkin/Hays game is 1:30 Saturday at Waco ISD (aka Lufkin west).
Coach Outlaw and Coach Rogers (pretty good friends I hear) could not originally pick a neutral site. Coach Rogers wanted Waco, Outlaw wanted Conroe - neither would agree on the other's choice - so they went for a home/home flip. One or both coaches changed their minds at the last minute and Coach Rogers won the flip and took Waco. Not sure about the choices between Hays and Lufkin - but Hays won the toss - so Lufkin will be visitors yet again.

Hays fans are realist...we're not the type to come in and talk crap about a state ranked team....I happen to think we have a great team with one of the state's best running backs in Waters, who is a totally different back than Goodson (much more physical)BUT we have issues on defense....I still think if the weather is bad (favors Hays) than it will be a great game...if it's a calm day then Lufkin's passing game may be too much to handle...I have alot of respect for Lufkin...they have lots of talent and maybe were sleep walking a little bit on Saturday or HH just came to play...either way, every team still in it is good at this point so a close game shouldnt surprise anyone....I'm not going to talk crap b/c it's not my nature..i try to be analytical about these things....When you look at this game it's reminiscent of an old Nebraska team vs Florida State.....who wins?? We'll see Saturday.....

When your playing man on all the recievers and blitzing more than we could pick up than the qb is gonna have to makes some plays credit to lufkin though on being good enough to man up all our recievers

It just seemed that on 3rd down Heights would convert. But yeah Thats all Lufkin runs is man with a little bit of Zone. From what I hear Hays loves to pound the ball that will work in Lufkin's favor if our D-Line comes to play. #77 once again you played one hell of a game and dominated most of the game. BTW I read were if HH would have scored you would have gone for 2 and the HH coach said he had a good one. What was the 2 pt call if you know it just wondering. And let me know if your going to the Lufkin Hays game maybe we could hook up and talk football I use to play last season for Lufkin. I know Harker Heights is what 40 minutes from Waco.

I thought the same thing but that is not a hs rule that is a college and NFL rule. I am almost positive?? Somebody help me out?? That would have been a td if that rule was into effect because he would have landed in bounds without the push. Smart play by the defender!!

Actually there is a rule were if you are forced out then it will be ruled a catch. The ref thought that the WR even though he was pushed didnt have a shot of getting his foot down. Wiich I thought it was a good call with it being that late in the game. I know the ruled is enforced in HS because we got a call like that against Longview in a scrimage my Sr year. But yeah #77 we will have to meet up and talk football. Do you stay in HH or Killeen. My brother goes to Killeen High but he cant play football because of an accident my mom wanted my down there to play for those Kangeroos but my blood pumped purple and gold.

Our team isn't practicing today. Is Lufkin? Or is it some kind of UIL rule that you can only practice a certain amount of days/hours per week?
