I have heard that its SLC vs. Allen for the noon kickoff. Can anybody confirm this?

Are the other 2 games:
Plano East vs. Trinity

South Grand Prairie vs. Plano

If these are the other 2 ball games, what times were they given?
If these aren't the other 2 games, then what are?
Gracias everyone :)

East and Trinity are at 3 pm. Have not seen the Plano time yet. If I was a betting man then I would expect them play afterwards. Plano brings a bigger crowd than east does and Texas Stadium usually puts teams with larger followings at the end. More people to buy concessions during the day.

side NOte: Desoto had maybe 1000 fans filling up maybe 2 sections where as Plano had in my estimation 8 to 9 thousand fans for the late game on Friday.

Texas Stadium doesn't place anybody, the game times are drawn.

Your telling me that SL got the last of the Triple header on Saturday because of drawn times? They put the better games with the most drawing power last.

When was SL the opener of a double or triple header?

how would a bigger crowd at the end help selling during the day?? if they want to sell more, theyd have it first so more of them stay throughout the day to buy the food..vs staying for one game where tehy can possibly not need food the whole game..

actually they have usually been the opener. The games that I went to last year at Texas Stadium they were the opener. The Abilene game and the state championship

Does this mean the Plano, SGP game is at 6, since SLC plays at noon and East plays at 3?

I stand corrected. So after your 4 hour game with Allen. and the East game. Plano should kick-off about 8 PM?

My thoughts are the fans would come early and watch so they could get a good seat for the last game. If the main game was early then i'm sure some diehards would stay but the vast majority of fans would go home, especially if their team lost. Either theory holds water.

maybe later. All year Carroll games have gone really long. Plano East and Trinity should take about 2.5 hours and the time to warm up in between games. Your game should start late.

the official time is 6, however Carroll did not kick off last night till 7:30. So with Carroll starting the day off, I would say Plano/SGP will kickoff sometime after 8.

Thanks, and there usually is 45 minutes in between games right? Or at least after the East game Friday, it took about 45 minutes until the Plano game started.

it usually is 45 minutes, but before the Carroll/Imac game last night they gave them a full hour to warmup.

The times are at best, just estimates. As in Saturday's triple-header, the first game between DR-SGP went into OT, disrupting the whole time schedule for the rest of the day. But the OT game was well worth it - great game!

Putting Carroll first will disrupt the time for sure. Not a single one of their games this year has been less than three hours. Because of this they will be atleast 45 minutes behind when the second game starts.

That's OK - we're there for the long haul, just like last Saturday. Sure hope it's cooler!

DeSoto fans are a fickle bunch and don't travel well. Very pessimistic bunch. If they don't think they can win, they don't go. Period. Just a historical fact. We've been playing them for years, I know how they are.

I hope East has more fans this weekend. Sitting in the endzone, we seen alot of maroon cheering for East.

In 94, Plano people stayed and cheered for both teams in TS. We are not in district play anymore, so help PLANO move ahead another week.

Went to TS at noon last Sat. and watched 3 good games. One interesting note, for some reason after the Trinity/FR game they gave 60 min. between games. After the DR/SGP game they gave 45 min.

Also today's paper lists the Plano game starting at 7:00pm on Sat. instead of 6:00pm

In my experience only the first game starts on time. For the second game I would add at least 30 mins to the scheduled start time and for the last game, add at least an hour.

Good luck to all of 8-5A at the triple header. I'm hoping at least one team from our district advances this week. Plano looks to have the best shot at it as long as they work on their passing. If not, then maybe Allen or PESH can pull off an upset.

Now there you go! That is an idea. I think you have the vision. Its just reversed though. Seriously what are the odds of a sweep one way or the other? SLC is heavily favored. Trinity is favored. Yes? SGP just has to pull off a huge upset against an unbeaten Plano. The opposite just seems way out there.

I definitely think you were dreaming. ;)
Allen is obviously the biggest underdog.
PESH' stongest point is their run D, which they will certainly need against Trinity.
Plano / SGP will likely be the best game of the day. Those fans should show up early and stay late......and bring alot of money or go hungry.
