Just got back from a real blow out. Our 2nd for the day since we were at the UT - Kansas game where the score was 49 - 0 at half time. Left during the 3d quarter for San Marcos.
Klein-Forest was basically overwhelmed by the Cove Offense who repeatedly went up the middle at will ..... Half-time the score was 34 - 0.
Defense was awesome. Last couple of minutes of the 3d quarter, our back-up quarter back took over.
I recall Klein Forest player #56 assisting Copperas Cove play #30 get back on his feet. I hope he is recognized by his coach and team mates for good sportsmanship like conduct.....
The one big disappointment at the game was the conduct of the Klein-Forest Coaches. Can you imagine having 4 coaches of the opposing team on the field during play? I am not just talking about having their foot on the field. One coach repeatedly was 5 to 7 yards out in the field. Appeared they were trying to get a better angle looking at our defense and offense to look at possible plays or defensive posture. The referees allowed this to continue for sometime. Finally gave them a warning. After a 2d warning the Klein-Forest coaches stayed on the sidelines in accordance ith the rules.....

Maybe they should try putting coaches in the press box?
This thread hit on the sideline thing a bit... http://www.5atexasfootball.com/forum/vB/showthread.php?t=3521

Can you say overmatched. Klein Forest may have been good in 14 -5A but I don't see how. Good job today 13-5A!! Go Dawgs!!!!

For the most part in my opinion they were an embarassment for 14-5A. Not all of them but i can see why there were posts about KF playing dirty and all those unnecessary personal foul calls they had tonight.
#48 at the end of the game quit shaking hands and just brushed off half the Cove team that was trying to shake hands. He was disrespcetful.
Congrats to the KF players that played with classs and gave it their best shot.

The same exact thing happened with the coaches on the field in the Lufkin vs KF game!!

^^come on dude, you're joking right. This to me is a pretty evenly matched game with Cove having the SLIGHT advantage. If Leander can get their offense going then i think we will be able to stop their run game. It all depends on what kind of day Drew has basically.

The only problem I see with that, for Leander, is that Cove would just have to go to their passing game........did us it much at all tonight other than Brent's 39 yard TD pass.....

Leander will be a tough game for us, but you can be beleive that Jack will have his bozy ready. Leander should be thankful that they are playing at home (RISD Stadium). It doesn't really matter but I thought it was supposed to be a nautral site. Don't know much about Leander but they better be ready to play some football. I thought the Dawgs play alright tonite. See what happens when you put Powell on the offensive site of the ball. You still have three other outstanding receivers playing on the D, # 3, 30 and 8. When is Tracy going to let those Dawgs out on the O? Just a thought. Good luck Leander.
