I just wanted to say that I am really upset that Longview lost. I was really looking forward to seeing the game b/w us and Longview. I guess the playoffs can break a really good team just like it almost broke us. But I just wanted to say that really sux and maybe next year!!!!!!!! :)

Wide - I may personally call the band director and tell them to cut that bs out pronto. I also disliked our highkicking the number of points scored while HH was singing their school song. Some folks think we just won state or something.

my daughter,who is a cheerleader said they are not allowed to chant that or they will get in trouble. honestly i think its pretty stupid. everytime they do that i want to march up to that band director and say please never do that again.

Wile I am a LP Band member, I agree that the people who chanted that were completely rude and obnoxious and downright wrong. On behalf of the band, I would like to apologize to the HH team and fans, and even the lufkin fans, for misrepresenting our school because LP fans a known throughout the state to be high-quality fans. I'll do everything in my power to keep that from happening next week.

and hats off to HH, you guys are a great group of skilled players with great coaches and you fought hard till the very end. Best of luck to you next year.

We'll be working on a new drill this week so fans get ready. :)




It wasn't the band director's fault either. And the drill team started doing that kicking thing a few games ago... nothing disrespectful in that. Just showing what those girls can do and showing school spirit.

I would also like to mention that HH band and LP band charter buses were parked right next to each other and we got along splendidly after the game.

The Woodlands band launched into a song, right across the field, when ours was about 2/3 the way through our school song. I thought it would have been a bit more appropriate to wait 30 seconds, but it doesn't suprise me. Nothing suprises me anymore. :rolleyes:

I'm just glad the HH team did such a a good jub but came up short. I did not think they would do well but they obviously brought their A game and damn near pulled the upset.

13-5A got 2 out of 3 this weekend.

Well, the thing is we started kicking like way b4 playoffs began. & about the band....they always do that crap. If they didn't realize we almost lost and to be saying something like "who's your daddy!" I know a lot of people have apologized for this, but I wanted to 2 cuz they made Lufkin seem like they had no class or nothing. HH you played one heck of a game and the best of luck 2 u next year!!!
