I just fired the Longview fans. This crap is pitiful. I started out as a Lobo fan and they're still #2 with me, but I don't get to see them play very much. I want to believe they'll do good, but the fans always overinflate how good they are. I can't believe they lost a playoff game they were favored to win by 23-27 points. I still say they need a new coach if they want to really win in the playoffs.

I think the main problem today was either the playcalling or the focus of the players.

And im not blaming the refs or claiming South Garland were homers, but Longview's penalties killed them whether bad calls or not. What really kept Longview in the game was the turnover margin. I think they had 2 pics and 1 or 2 fumbles.

But i have to hand it to SG. Both teams came out sloppy in the first half, Longview had the lead, but SG wanted it more.

I guess for the rest of the playoffs I'll have to say...Go Lufkin! Bring the Title to East Texas again!

Hey Baylordad, Just got back from Texas Stadium myself. What a great day of highschool ball.

The Denton Ryan vs SGP game was a blast. SGP clearly had the better athletes but Denton Ryan clearly had the better coach. SGP has good size and speed and my prediction is they'll beat Plano next week.

Big ET just keeps rolling. Tonight was my first time to see the Haka in person. Although it wasn't intimidating it was certainly entertaining. I don't see many high schools with an offensive line that avgs over 300lbs. What a bunch of chow hounds.

Southlake was destroying Irving Mac when I left just before halftime it was already 33-0.

Couldn't agree more, Coach King has to go! You cannot lose games like this with so much damn talent. Lonny your right, last year the LP-LV talent was equal maybe more on LV minus LP defense but the Coaching is what won that one last year too. Just like someone said on the thread about the Denton Ryan coach, 4A Highland Park beat DR 49 to 14 but look what they almost managed; a first round win and mind you not a lot of talent certaintly what was there the past two years. A great Coach with semi talent go a long way. Look at teams with most state titles ....GREAT COACHES.
