to release the new camaro? did they take too long, looking at the financial crisis america is facing right now, and the rising gas prices, is it going to be a flat launch?

I think people who fall into the price range of affording it, will get it no matter what the economy is doing...

And keep in mind the camaro is typically a "favorites" car... meaning that they have there own crowd of people that are camaro buffs... In that crowd it will continue to sell good..... But overall the majority of people dont really care for it.... There are so many foriegn made cars that are trumping sales of american cars..

Look around though... who is leading the pack for all electric vehicles?

GM has one on the way with production models already shown and Dodge has three different all electric models, a sleek sports car, a minivan, and an suv.

but idk

and i am very against all electric cars, and i think people will realize that Hybrids, at least the first few early ones, are gonna be expensive mistakes.

Why against electric? You get 40 miles on a single charge and it uses less electricity a year than running your fridge does (about $300 a year at 11 cents kWh). A gas generator is on board if you ever need to go more than 40 miles. Several gallons let you go 150+ miles not including the initial period on battery only. There are even some experiments with natural gas instead of gasoline. I personally RARELY go more than 40 miles in one direction and don't forget you can plug in at work.

Well if you want one.. get it.. If your not down with electric... dont...

I'm not a huge fan because they were made in contrary to what enviormentalists thought they would be....

GM made a mistake by discontinuing the Camaro/Firebird line for a while. Why didn't they just go right into the new model or just do minimal redesigns through now, and then release the new model. It doesn't make sense to discontinue a line knowing you are just going to bring t back in a couple of years.

I'm not against the IDEA of electric cars, i'm against what is going to be made. I work with cell phones. I know what kind of issues electrics have, what kind of issues batteries have. How long will the batteries last? Not per charge, but how many charging cycles? How many miles will it be before you have to replace the batteries? What about shorts?

GM has been doing this with alot of their vehicles.... its like they think if they make you miss it for a few years, you'll want it even more when they bring it back.... And they'll say "its back" and call it a limited edition.... I think this strategy besides being a bonehead move... has backfired time after time..

I could understand that, but GM had already released the designs for the new Camaro/Firebird long before they discontinued the old Camaro/Firebird line. That's just dumb.
