Thanks for the updates Supercentex. Please let us know the location and date for the game with Leander.

I was in the stands in Killeen when we lost to Leander in the first round a few years ago. I remember the feeling. Al Pena ran all over us. When UT went to Stillwater a couple of weeks ago, that's all that came to mind, especially after Pena ran in a touchdown to put OSU up by 21. Hopefully, Cove will be able to make it past Leander this time. Should be a heck of a game.

Congrats to A&M for representing the district. And also to the Knights. You guys took the Panthers to OT. If people didn't respect our district before, they should now.

Everyone thinks it's down cause Waco didn't make it to the playoffs........I guess now we see why. The district was pretty even this year.......the 4 that didnt' make the playoffs would probably do well if they got to advance.

Tough district... I believe Waco took Cove to 3 OT's several weeks back... yeah, the Cove team that just whacked KF with a 62! And, Waco was the "worst" team in the district? Ha! That's a good ball club. Watch out for them next year.

It's a lot of fun to watch, not much fun to see the district teams beating each other up, splitting wins in many cases. But, talk about "toughening you up for the real world".

There are some districts in this state where, if you can make it through and get into the playoffs, you'll be battle-tested.

Just made it in from the game. Man that was exciting watching Cove CRUSH KF. When Cove plays this way they are awesome to watch.

Now let me give you the low down on KF. They had great size and speed but lacked discipline. There was a post earlier in the week that someone stated that KF like to play a little dirty when they are down. I thought it was just some BS on the boards but i actually believe what i read now after watching them play. They had several personal foul calls for face masks and clearly pushing or tackling after the play was out of bounds or whistled dead. I could not believe several of these that they did. Their coaches were all over the field while Cove was running offense and even had two sideline warnings. After the game #48 of KF was comming across shaking hands and before he got to the side line just turned to walk back to his side. One of the COve players attempted to get him to finish shaking their hands and he just turned and looked at them and waved them away and walked off. Talk about lack of class and discipline by KF. I have respect for those other players that played the best they could but do not respect the KF organization as a whole. They did not represent 14-5A in the manner that i would have expected from such a strong district.

Go DAWGS, you proved it to KF in a great team effort. Lets enjoy the weekend and victory and get ready for Leander.
