Texas won it's 4th Big XII South title in the Big XII's 10 year history, tying them with Mobilhoma for most in the histroy of the conference.

Vince Young became Texas' all-time leader in total offense... and he did it as a junior. Vince broke the previous record held by Major Applewhite.

Cool stat of the day...

Texas had 9 guys carry the ball tonight for a total of 338 rushing yards. What is amazing is that no single rusher had 100 yards and Vince Young did not account for one single rushing yard.

It was an excellent game. The senior walkons got a lot playing time in the fourth quarter and that really made the game enjoyable until the very end.

It was great to see so many players play. Texas was pulling starters just after halftime. If not, this one could have been ugly... I mean Rosie O'Donnell ugly.

More interesting stats (courtesy of CarKev14 on Hornfans.com)...

- Mack Brown is the % winningest college coach over the last 10 years. (82%)

- Texas is the only team with five straight current seasons of 10+ wins.

- VY is one win away from being UT's all-time winningest QB. He'll tie Bobby Layne at 28 with a win over the Aggies.

- VY is the all-time Total Offense leader at Texas and may still have another year.

- Texas has 527.9 ypg in total offense so far this year. Our record is 472.1, set in 1969. With three more games, we've got to average 287 ypg over the next three to break that 36-year old record.

- Texas has scored 50.1 per game so far this year. Our record is 41.4, also set in 1969. With three games to go, we need 39 more points (13 per game) to break that record.

- Texas has averaged 7.30 yards per play so far this year. Our record is 6.8, set in 1998.

- Texas has averaged 284.3 rushing yards per game so far this year. The only other time we've averaged over 250 in the past 28 years was last year.

- Texas has averaged 6.05 yards per carry so far this year. The record [5.8] was set in 2004. Prior to that, the record was 5.5, set in 1973.

- Pre-Mack Brown, there were 11 600+ offensive yardage games, never more than two in a year. With Vince at QB, we've done it five times in two years and we've just done it in back-to back-to-back games.

I guess your trying to say UT is having a good year? ;)

Good stats as usual. Lets see if Texas can break a few more before the season is over...
