I was watching the game with owlfan 1 today(in the old folks section), and we saw you guys walking around in the capes. He made a comment about the outfits.... I am all for wearing the same outfits until we lose, so keep it up.

Congrats to JT on a fine season. Yall had us on the ropes today, but you seemed to run out of gas in the fourth. Its good to see CUJO back. Two of thos Olineman for JT, numbers 71 and 74, are just humongous. How many are you returning next year?

And good job by the GHS crowd today, they definitely helped the team today! My throat will be sore the rest of the weekend from yelling.

Lonny, that's the problem. Yall outsiders don't know anything about Berkner. And yall are up for a big surprise once we beat Rowlett. I also have people that go to schools in 11-5a that say that South Garland is trash. Even though they had a good win against Longview, I don't think they will win against Lake Highlands. Thats my opinion.

HMMMM I dont know anything about Berkner but yet your head coach goes to my church and I talk to him. I think the game to be talking about is Berkner rush offense vs. Jared Knorton. This guy is amazing and is all over the field. Will be interesting to see what happens in this one.

Jared Norton is really good player; I've seen him on film. But he'll have some problems against Berkner. Berkner has quick offensive lineman that will get in his path. Berkner also has great 4.4 speed for any sweeps we might do. After all, we have played against some good linebackers.... Richardson's Jake Mechler, Skyline's Mike Morgan?, Creekview's linebacker...

Not always true. Pierce was somewhat shut down yesterday, only had a few 10+ yard runs, one of which was his touchdown. Hill really stepped up yesterday spreading the ball to recievers like White, Miller, and Anderson. I think Berkner may be in some trouble.

You're right, it was good for having that many guys stacked in the box. But it left alot of room for the passing game. I know next to nothing about Berkner, besides they are undefeated. I wonder what defense they will run to stop Rowlett's offense.

I don't know where you get your stuff, but I was at the game and we dominated Mesquite Horn at their home stadium. The fact that it was our first game and that our second defense played in the closing minutes made it 24-17... Anyways, Garland schools are really good and our district isn't that good at all. Nobody can really estimate how good Berkner or Lake Highlands is because of that. But let me tell you something, if you think Andre Pierce will run all over us, you are wrong. We have faced good runningbacks all year, including Mesquite Horn's Mon Williams(1672 14 tds) , Creekview's U.J. Okafor (1239 16 tds), Jesuit's Drew Mendenhall (1187 10 tds), Richardson's Josh Minde (1163 18 tds), and Pearce's Zach Plinario (1150 14tds). BTW, We made Mon Williams fumble 3 times.

Have to laugh at that one, Mon averaged three fumbles a game for the past two years. And if he didn't drop the last one at the 5 yard line Berkner would have been going to overtime so throw out the second team defense argument.

All that being said it should be a good game. Rowlett has a very good O-line that opens some good holes for Pierce. Berkner has a very good D-line that is capable of stopping him. Rowlett will need to open up the passing game as they did yesterday. Berkner will be hard pressed to get anything going offensively against the Rowlett D. Running game will be shut down and the passing game is unproven.

In closing, congrats to the 11-5A teams. You beat three really good teams yesterday. I thought one of those would happen maybe two but a sweep...no way. Good luck to all three the rest of the way. Maybe we can meet up in the regular season next year.

We might as well close the Rowlett vs. Berkner argument because what it all boils down to is this.

You can't compare the 2 because of who they played in the regular season, and how well they played against them. What we do know, is that whoever gets the momentum, and gets it early is most likely going to walk away going to the 3rd round. We'll see you Berkner boys on Saturday, it's gonna be a good one!
