The good thing is that they are generally good enough to keep coming here even though a few of them will have to eat a little crow.

It just seems like LV dropped off a few weeks back and just never could get back into the game like they were at the start of the season... Odd.

C'mon man, are you serious? We are better than south in every aspect imaginable, we know that. Winners seem to have to brag about success. At Garland we are Champions and people know our success. We say "south sucks" and "stomp south" during south week simply because its tradition. However, outside of that week (and defend the school night) we promote (City of) Garland Pride. You say you hate them since you're a Sophomore and you don't know any better. I say "Go South" Run through playoffs! Since I'm a Senior and have the class to respect a fine school and football program.

Dude, why the hell are you attacking me? I was one of the people rooting for South all day long and I'm totally glad that they won! It makes GISD and the city of Garland look that much better because our 3 little cities can spread all the athletes over 7 schools and still be good enough to sweep other districts and go at least fairly deep into the playoffs. I don't know what i've done to provoke this stupidity on your part, but you can PM me to explain.

Hey guys I,m a pack fan as you see and I see some panther pride quotes on this thread. Well let me enlighten you on something. I was in Waco today and it could have been 2003 all over again. They stepped up when they had too, but ,that a awake up call for Lufkin. Been saying all year that sloppy play will get you a** in trouble. Pack has got to play better next week or somebody is going to be on us pack fans in here.I would not be talking any s**t unless you have the tittle. :eek:

I didn't attend school in Texas and my kids live in a different state.. If they lived with me, I'd still be in La so they could go to ECA.
So I just enjoy Texas football since I live here..I like SLC enough to have 3 or 4 games on tape.. So I can show them to people...seriously.

I'd love to sit back and pat SG on the back for outplaying us. But that wasn't the case. SG didn't outplay us in the slightest Longview was defeated by the poorest officiating I have ever witnessed. I wish there was a rematch rule. Bottom line, the video of this game needs to be sent to UIL.

You may consider this copping out. You may consider this not taking responsibility. But for anyone who witnessed this game knew how poorly this game was officiated. Pathetic. It makes me sick to my stomach for these boys. They deserved better than this. Numerous mythical penalties called against Longview including a strange flag after Longview hit a field goal to end the first half, backing it up and making them kick it again into 30 mph winds (and he ends up missing it). Many blatant penalties by SG were not flagged (blocking in the back during punt return by SG right in the refs face.) I am very upset for these boys. People are making it look like Longview didn't come to play. They did. Any time there was a first down, whoop, flag is on the ground. We would be in the redzone, whoop false start. Yeah, great teams overcome poor reffing, but they make it impossible to score when they keep making you come back. Pathetic. This is all I have to say about it. I really do hope King sends the video of this game in. While Longview will never get to replay this game, maybe UIL can prevent these officials from screwing your team somewhere down the road.

Congrats on a great run, Longview. Good luck you graduating guys in your future endeavors and good luck to up and coming Lobos. You held your head up high in the face of all this adversity thrown at you today. Hold your head up Decker...it wasn't your fault. Good luck to all you teams that made it out of the first round.

Look, I do not believe stepping on somebody when they are down. It can happen at anytime to our team's and it almost did to my team today. But is anybody shocked at this post??(not all Longview fan's) The amazing amount of excuses and how the ref's were the ones that beat them. I am not surprised at all!! It happens everytime they lose a game!! Some time you just have to tip your hat to the other team and give up the conspiracy theories!!
