mid-season move-ins wouldn't be eligible without some changes in rules. they also wouldn't likely be of great use unless they were 3-4* players whose ability could carry them thru the learning phase. no, unfortunately, there are lots of teams/kids hopes and plans for a great jr-sr year who are just sool. dang bush and global warming is completely to blame.

That's actually an interesting question. At some point, don't these kids need to go back and resume their education? What if their schools close for the next month or 2? Should we not start thinking of where the students and/or football talent will be redistributed?

The special rules are already in place. See http://www.uil.utexas.edu/policy/pdf/Ike_waiver.pdf.

If the parents relocate to a new school attendance zone the child is eligible for varsity competition on the 15th day of attendance.

Three weeks of class first doesn't leave much of a season.

If the original school reopens and the family returns to the same attendance boundary the 15 day rule is waived.
