Yes, we got the victory and the game was only in doubt a couple of times. Our defense is not good and I'll be the first to admit it, assuming that Lufkin beats HH that Lufkin will eat us for breakfast lunch and dinner. I'm not throwing in the towel YET, but it will be VERY tough to beat Lufkin with the team we have right now.

Lufkin is a much better defensive team, they can throw the ball and throw it well but they make their money on defense and second half adjustments. I also, got a chance to see Mister Waters, I would say he is Vondrell-esque, but he got some game...

Our Defensive coachs have to work with these boys and get them ready for this next game!! Time and Time again our defense will have them 3rd and long and they convert. This goes on every year!!!! I don't understand do these coaches not see it? They have to get these guys fired up and thinking out there. Some games they tackle great other nights they think hitting them will bring them down. Lufkin is going to be a tough game the defense is going to have to step up. I remember the '96 season we had tough games and we won with some of the tougher teams I don't give up on the Rebels ever you just never know.

I didnt know Hay's defense was like that, but i will say this. Chris Johnson had 206 yards on 28 carries and to say the least....

EJ Shankle>Chris Johnson

Just be prepared to remember that name after the game.
