Chaps will be ready to get back into Region IV

That's no lie. I wondered how they would fare two years ago in R II with no pancake district and tougher playoff opponents? Now we know!

Westlake, down 35-32 with about 3 min. to play had momentum and had 3rd and 2 on about the 30 yard line. You know if Foles drops back to pass, they are coming after him. Westlake had so many choises that were quite sure to move the ball two yards in two downs! You don't really want to score quickly because Pflugerville can also score very quickly. Getting this first down and then going in to score is pretty much do or die at this point. What does Westlake do?

Westlake coach snatches defeat from the jaws of victory! Westlake needs a coach that can make intelligent offensive play calls. Any qualified cannidates - please apply!

I don't speak for all of Consol fans, many of whom wanted a rematch with Westlake, but I saw plenty enough of their QB and those receivers the first time around. I think we would not have lost to them twice in one season, but that QB is something else. I hope the QB's dad didn't try to strangle the offensive coordinator tonight. One attempted strangling a season is plenty, at least that's what I always say. ;)

Pfluggerville is going to be tough! Another good game for next Friday night in Waco.

I expected more than that out of Westlake... Feeling kind of let down by them.. Not that I care though. I've got Laredo to fall back on. They never let me down.

It was third and two, but then Westake's guard false started and set them back. Next play was an out that the QB threw short, that would have been an easy first down had the throw been there. The penalty dropped them out of FG range as they were into a strong wind. They had to go for it on 4th down and couldn't pick up a big time blitz.

Coaches don't false start or throw bad passes. Players got to execute, and they didn't in a critical situation.

My prediction came through. I didnt think Westlake would be able to handle pvilles speed and based on the final score, i'd say they probably didnt. This sint the smae pvilel team IMO that it was a few years ago because of the qb. They are still very athleitc (probably the more athletic team of the 2) but their offense is more prostyle without one of the Walker brothers at qb with their speed. I'll root for Pville for the simple fact that after the playoffs start i like seeing 15-5a teams do good, but i dont really know to much about Consol. Because A&M Consolidated played the Woodlands so had i'll say it should be a very good game. I couldnt tell you who wins because i dont know enough about Consol.

badger95 - I felt WL was in a good position with 3rd and 2 on about the 30 yard line. It seemed obvious on 4th and 7 with a couple minutes left, Foles is not going to have time to sit in the pocket and complete a throw into the end zond (wind or not). The game is on the line and the pressure was expected. So you opt for a play to the end zone, which if completed, gives the ball back to Pflugerville with a couple minutes remaining?

Thanks for adding the detail of the false start. I agree that penalty was costly. I deeply feel that the quality of play calling and coaching has suffered greatly with the leaving of Schroeder. This coach does not make the calls in the red zone that gets the ball over the goal line. The coach does not make good calls to maintain possession of the ball for long sustained drives that could result in consistent scores from the red zone. The coach has not developed the running game thoughout the season to have a balanced game against the tougher defenses you face in the playoffs. It's great to have a great deep passing game, but I think other aspects of a tough offense have been neglected, especially in the regular season.

We expect highly motived, intelligent play from the players. We should expect no less in regards to game/playoff preparation and coaches play calling!

P'ville scored 42 points and gained almost 650 yds., and you think that Westlake lost because of their offensive play-calling?

Get a clue.

You can't give up that many points and expect to win a playoff game. I don't care who you are playing.
