John Tyler Vs. Wichita Falls Rider

No prediction on this one from me. After seeing that Wichita Falls team on television last week....for a 4A team...whooooaaaa. How Sulphur Springs managed to beat em...only the football Gods know cause that game could have and should have gotten away from them very early. I will say this though... WF>Texas High, but JT appears to be playing better football than they were 3 weeks ago. Though Sulphur Springs beat WF and JT would easily beat Sulphur Springs, I'm not ready to say we'll beat Rider just yet. That offense is built for shootouts. I just hope we bring enough bullets lol.

This is going to be a GOOD game. WF Rider has alot of talent and speed. The key is for JT to stop their qb, Beavers, from going off. JT needs to establish the running game quick and early to keep them off balance. Overall, this game will show how far JT has come on the young season. I believe JT has a very good shot at winning this game, but this Rider team will be TOUGH as krytonite.

i think jt will be prepared to make a game out of this. i picked jt to win but after realizing that wf lost close games they could of won( desoto,sulfer springs) they may have some extra gas to get them by jt. jt is just as eager to get this win after loosing by one to a good lufkin team. a game jt had a chance to win. i plan to be in attendance for this one. should be very exciting and my nerves should be shot cause i will have the sound of the lee/abilene game flowing through my ears at the same time whoaa!!!:eek:

JT is strange....... Many times they don't win a lot of games, but they will jump up and beat a team or play them really close like Cove and LV in 06 and LV in 07.

I dont know what your talking bout.

If the JT shows up that gave us a hell of a game then Rider wll be in trouble. After what JT did to Lamar you can just sense the confidence boost by the Lions. Plus they did a great job of containing our duek threat qb also Claybon is not committed to Michigan and we do not have an WR going to OU either although Trimble will go somewere big after his sr season.

Take notice.....JT is finally LEARNIING how to win. Great game tonite...showed heart and resilience. They took on and took out a decent WF Rider despite some of the poorest play calling and clock management I've seen in awhile. While its possible that we make some noise in district this year...next year WILL be the reawakening. Talented underclassmen ALL over the field. The skilled positions are loaded. Now all they must do is continue to LEARN how to win. The future looks bright. The defense is solid and the offense has the potential to be down right scary. I know our game tonite will be overshadowed by the triple overtime thriller between LV/LP...but you all missed a classic one at the Rose....Good job JT!!! Take notice...JT is officially dangerous.

WF RIDER 24JT isn't officially anything except early playoff fodder if they make the playoffs. Don't call me a bitter person from Wichita Falls, either. I've said many times that I can't stand Rider's Head Coach. If it weren't for Scott Ponder, I'd actually root for Rider like the rest of the local teams. Rider has a lot better talent than coaching and that's why I've said for quite a while now that the Raiders weren't going to live up to expectations.

Don't belittle our accomplishment and deem it as insignificant. Look, dude, we went 1-9 last year. So far we've doubled our win total from a year ago and took a GOOD Lufkin team to the brink. As far as I'm concerned, this season is already a win/win for us.

The kids have worked hard, believed in the system and it looks as though its starting to pay off. A win is a win and we'll take them anyway we can around here. I know what I seen out there last night. I seen signs of JT becoming a quality team. So for you to introduce yourself to a thread only to trash both the winner and loser of last nights game is of low character and astonishingly assinined behavior. I'd appreciate it dearly if you never post behind me again. To come this thread like that was totally out of line. Nothing agaisnt Rider, their are a quality team. They have the athletes, JT just has more. Nothing to be down about, it happens. But for you to act like that, come on now, I mean really. Don't live your life like that, it practically sheds years off of it.....

Someone sounds bitter as HELL. JT played a QUALITY team and won the game in a VERY GUTSY performance. That was CUJO last night IMO. BTW, it is not JT's fault that other schools in their district haven't met your ASSISINE standards. You are just a HATER!!!
