Tech fan has spoken and we're overrated!:D

"Until we start winning more games by a score of 3-2, we don't deserve to be a top 10 team."

"Exactly - until we beat Tulane by 14 at home, and we beat Mississipi State 3-2 we will never deserve our top 10 ranking! Beating SMU 43-7! WELL MIZZOU WOULD HAVE BEAT THEM 69-7 - therefore we are not a top 40 team obviously. Graham threw 7 bad balls out of 60, if he keeps that up, we will surely lose 3 to 8 conference games at the very LEAST. Somehow we are tricking the voters who don't realize that we are the only ranked team in the country who doesn't play perfect perfect football - because obviously any top 15 team destroys everyone 100-0 and completes 100% of their passes."

"We just need to beat one of the weaker teams in our conference 14-7, and then we are top ten. Until we prove this, I am going to complain."

OK, there was some legit discussion, too. They said things like, we were ranked coming in, team in front of us have lost, and we haven't so that's where we are. Some think we might be overrated, but it balances out with being underrated in the past. One guy said nobody behind Tech would beat them and Tech would beat some in front of them.

I did find it odd when three top 10 teams lost in successive weeks Tech didn't move up one spot but instead got jumped.

Name me one time where Tech was underrated and proved they deserved to be rated higher? Usually it is the exact opposite.

If I had to bet $100 between Tech losing three conference games and one conference game, I would take three in a heartbeat. In fact, if I had to place a bet on the number of Tech regular season losses right now, I would chose three.

The way all teams are playing, Tech goes down to OU and UT. Give me one unexpected loss as well, probably KSU or Nebraska. KSU is good for one good game a year and I think Pelini and Co. will have at least one signature win.

All you gotta do is win games...I wouldn't worry about anything else....Time will soon tell what Tech is made of...

A lot of teams are overrated right now, so at least we're in good company.

Here's how I look at it:

#10 Coaches Poll and #11 AP

Sep 20 UMASS- That's a win and 4-0.

Oct 4 at Kansas State- Should be a win, but KSU can bite you and Tech has struggled at times on the road, but gets a bye before this game and won a game at Nevada that they would've lost in other years. They should win, but we don't know yet if they've turned the corner. 5-0.

Oct 11 Nebraska- The 'huskers have looked pretty good, but not as good as Tech and they don't have the D yet. It could be a letdown for Tech, but the letdowns usually come after A&M. 6-0.

Oct 18 at Texas A&M- I guess Tech could let down, but I have my doubts they don't want to pound the Ags. 7-0.

If Tech is who they say they are, they'll be 7-0 and around #5-7 going into Kansas. KU doesn't have a running game yet, but it is at home. It won't be easy, but Tech might pull off a win.

We know the Texas game in Lubbock will be tough. The 'horns haven't done anything to make me more scared of them than the past, but they have talent and won't be an easy win. OU is tougher because it's on the road. I'm not too concerned about the Baylor game, but the game that could sneak up on Tech is the OSU game in Lubbock. The Cowboys are a tough team and won't be easy to beat.

I can't wait until Lonny fires Leach and Tech.

Classic Pirate fail. Or, maybe the refs are fired first. Or Jones field for not draining. So many options really.

I'm with Lonny on this one. We have yet to have that dominating performance that Tech fans were expecting in all the preseason games. All games were good wins, but not good enough in my opinion. Personally I wanted to see us beat SMU by at least 50.

somehow texas and aggy will be to blame for stealing all the recruits that would want to go to nothing lubbock if it wasn't for the money going under the table

also, he could fire the opponents for not losing even though tceh CLEARLY is the better team across the board. (lienhart anyone?)

They've played just well enough to not get fired so far.

The refs don't get fired for playing with the spread. Changing the outcome is another thing.

Jones Stadium looked pretty good for the game. They drained the field.
