Like I have been saying all season there Baylordad this is in my (which don't count much) opinion he's the best in the state. He rushed for 556 yards on 2 of the best defenses in the state alone!IMAC and SGP. The scouts have come out big time to look at this kid. Hope he goes big time D1 so we can still watch him.

I think he is going to surprise some people on where he goes! LSU,OK. ST.,Arizona St., UTEP, and a couple more are in the running. There's to many already committed to UT and I wonder how all of these kids will get playing time there? Isn't that Charles kid a FReshman? Don't see any of these kids coming up going to knock him out of a starting job. Guess ole Mack will figure it out.

after the last two weeks, I have been impressed with Nance, however in my own opinion I have come away with the impression that Handy is a better RB than Nance, that is no knock on Nance, I just think Handy is the best back you guys have. What are your thoughts?

I am a fan of Nance's as well but I would not go so far as to say he got yards against "two of the best defenses in the state.." SGP barely makes it into the top 10 of the metroplex and they give up 125 yards rushing per game. IMAC is even farther down giving up 169. The truth is the really good defenses are few and far between. That aside, Nance is impressive and will do good as a D1 Back. I can't explain why Rivals (2 stars) and others have not given him more notice. It most likely comes from not getting recognition his junior year. Last I saw, Missouri was showing the most interest, followed by Ok State and UTEP.

I've known both the kids since the 9th grade and they are both fine young men. Yes sir no sir eve :D :D ry time they talk to you. I'm partial to Dimitri, but Handy is the better up the middle where Dimitri excels in the open field. Would really like to see Lineweaver give them equal plays just to see what damage they can do!!

Michael Goodsen is the best. Ankle injury in first scrimmage still averaged 10yds carry on a weak squad. Already verbally committed to Oklahome State as a junior, but is still being heavily recruited by A&M and Southern Cal.

That list is Boo-Boo. No Pierce?

No, I'm not biased :D .. I agree with the other 99% of the list though.

Mack does a good job with getting the best players out on the field. One of the Runningbacks that was once committed to Texas is no longer going to Texas (Derke Robinson). If Moody and McGee end up horns, they will see the field early and often. This year 5 different running backs have gotten carries and they are all coming back, but two will probably change positions and two seem a little injury prone. It should be interesting to see how the runningback depth chart works out next year

I hope he goes somewhere he can actually play. UT has so many RBs already.

I think Pierce had a better year than Donte Bean from North Garland... I wonder why he wasnt considered on teh list. He was one of the top rushers in all of 5A this season.

Goodsen was talked about before the season, but he could not do anything on Lufkin last week. I know he had a injury earler in the season but he looks fine last friday night. After the 3 down run where he got about 20 yds, the misdirection plays he ran was stop cold by the pack defense. Was not impressed by him at all.

Actually it seems like Mack is doing the smart thing and only being loyal to the guy with the hot hand and the healthly legs. There's plenty he must like in a kid like Vondrell.

Its a shame to put a list out and leave Pierce out. Check the numbers. And then to put Bean in? Makes the whole list bogus. Ive several of these, Pierce is the real deal!

I still think it has to do with his offensive line. He gets so much experience at running in the open field because of them, which makes it easy for him to practice at breaking tackles like he does. It absolutely disgusted me watching all of our defense on the ground against your offense.

By far the best RB in Texas is Vondrell McGee. But yeah I was not impressed with Goodson the two years I saw him and the one year I played against him. But then again he does have a weak team. Although I have never saw Nance play he sounds like one heck of a RB.
