Any predictions about the score? I'm going with 42-20. Renfro has a breakout game. Newton runs for 75+ yards.

SLC 56
IMac 13

I saw them play Trinity & I thought their D was okay but their O was weak at best. I think IMac will be able to slow the run of SLC early but the SLC receivers will be open all night. If Trinity had the ability to throw the football, they would have completed some passes and scored more points. They had open receivers but the quarterback just could not hit them. As SLC picks their secondary apart, the running game will open up. IMac is not as good at running the spread as they have been in the past. Their quarterback throws okay on the short routes but when he goes deep, he throws it up into double coverage consistently. Trinity should have had several more interseption than they had. This game will get ugly. IMac showed in the Trinity game they will start swinging & playing dirty as soon as they experience adversity. Believe me, by the second half, they will experience adversity!!

I don't think SLC will run on the MAC defense with their lack of a running game. Passing may be different story. MAC'S LB'S should both be all-state. Will be interesting to see. Will SLC'S cheerleaders be there??

running out of the spread depends on how the defense sets up. if they line up with 6 in the box, the passing game will be stressed. 5 in the box and running becomes higher priority. it's the dreaded pick your poison routine all over.

The fact that IMAC has competed in one of the best districts in the state and got out with a 9-1 record only loosing to ET shows that they are truely "gamers"

This will be pretty close folks

I agree it will be closer than folks think, but there is no way IMAC scores 28. They averaged 25 during the season (& that is inflated thanks to scores against GP and 4a Arlington Seguin). That has been there problem all year... they just can't score.

I Mac seems to set their standards of performance just above the team that they are playing. Unfortunately, ET was too strong for their highest standard and I think Carroll will be too.

49-14. Is Ortega and Simpson ready to go? If Ortega is ready then go ahead and tack on a field goal and make it 52-14.

Yeah thats one thing i consider to be true too. I'll tell yeah that first half will be close, in that half at least I expect the Mac defense to get more pressure than any of SLC's opponents this year, but I think they will adjust. Unfortunately the only unit on Mac's defense thats elite is their linebackers, but perhaps the other units are capable of stepping up. I think it will be the scatter arm of Mac's qb as opposed to Southlake defense is what wins the game for Southlake. I don't like throwing out scores, but IF Southlake wins I think it will be highly unlikely they score more than 38.

Carroll finds no cheerleader alcohol use at football game

By JESSAMY BROWN

STAR-TELEGRAM STAFF WRITER

SOUTHLAKE - Carroll school district officials say they will take no action against several varsity cheerleaders despite protests from parents that administrators did not fully investigate allegations of drinking at last Friday's football game.

The district's investigation is closed, and the Carroll Senior High School squad will perform Saturday at a Dragons playoff game at Texas Stadium in Irving, Carroll spokeswoman Julie Thannum said. Carroll administrators and Southlake police say they found no evidence of alcohol use.

But some parents of cheerleaders said that their daughters told them that about five senior cheerleaders went into a bathroom stall together at Dragon Stadium before the Nov. 4 game and drank vodka.

One cheerleader told her father that the five senior cheerleaders had alcohol on their breath and slurred speech.

The mother and the father both asked that their names not be published to protect their daughters from retaliation.

Students who have, use or distribute drugs or alcohol on school property can be placed in an alternative education program and suspended from extracurricular activities, according to district policy.

During the game, the school resource officer and three district administrators investigated the complaints.

They spoke with the cheerleaders and saw no signs that the teen-agers had had alcohol.

None of the parents had actually seen any alcohol or alcohol use, Thannum said.

Southlake Department of Public Safety spokeswoman Ashleigh Douglas said that no alcohol was found and that the students denied using it.

"The teens exhibited no signs that they had consumed alcohol," she said.

Carroll administrators say they are paying more attention to alcohol use among their students.

The past two annual surveys of students show that about two-thirds of Carroll's juniors have had alcohol within the past year.

About half had been drunk.

i wouldn't want to be telling stories out of school, but this has been a very contentious year to the point of legal issues within the cheerleading squad. very weird stories all around. none of the carolina stuff-get your mind out of the gutter.

well if you were being lifted and thrown up in the air and then caught be a bunch of drunk girls, and your parents asked why they almost dropped you on your head, you might tell them

ya know what? i agree with that 110%. didn't think of that.

even if it was the girls that are being thrown in the air it would not be a good thing.

Why would you NOT want to tell on them? If I had a bunch of football players going out to the woods and smoking marijuana on my team before the game, I would not hesitate to tell the coach. Not only would I not want them on the field that night because they would ruin our chances to win, but also for the future so they can either stop or play football somewhere else. I have no tolerance for that and it really angers me that people get away with it. Most people I am friends with, including myself, stay out of drugs/alcohol and find other ways to have fun. However if one of my friends decided to do so I would not hesitate to tell their parents or someone, because I would rather them make the right choices rather then them be friends with me. If they want to hate me because of me trying to get them back on the right track, they aren't my real friend in the first place.

Who cares, whether its football, cheerleading, bowling, or even chess.. any team for that matter. No need to have ANY room for that behavior that can ruin other people's experience on the team because of their selfish behavior. Cheerleaders, I know, seem to have a large knack for that behavior(I go to high school too), and there are still cheerleaders on the squad who don't tolerate it. They could show up intoxicated at a cheer competition, for example, and ruin all the hard work that other people have put in, just to have it ruined by selfishness.

Brings back memories of the high school days don't it?? We all drank in high school but somehow we kept it quiet. These days these kids(all kids) can't keep much quiet. I have 2 teenagers and hope if they drink they don't have to hide it like I did.

the varisty soccer coach at carroll (coach oglysbe (spelled wrong im sure)), always tells us things like this..he brings up a good point, if we do anything wrong he will find out..were not a big community things spread around, and obviously that happend with this..he also tells us this.."remember who you are and what you represent" that is a great quote to live by imo, also i like one of the band quote's we use "lead by example" to great quotes that can get you far in life
