i think that Dallas Carter has the potential to go to state because they have a power house offense. there is not many teams that have been able to stop them running or passing when they do throw the ball. they have the best defense in they state of tx to me. only giving up 7.6pts per game. so the Carter Cowboys aka"Red Storm" is State Bound.

Obviously with a defense like that they have a legitimate shot. I think whoever comes out of our region has a big shot at knocking off SLC this year. However, we do have the toughest region IMHO. I just hope we don't kill each other in the process. When we played JT, Longview and Tyler Lee in the round robin district three and four years ago it was brutal.

Against Garland, they racked up 237 yards on 34 carries, a 5 yard average. That is impressive against our stingy defense, but Crabtree went 9-16-1 for 69 yards and no touchdowns. Carter squeaked out the victory when, down by 7, we couldn't capitalize on 2 recovered fumbles in the 4th quarter. If Carter is going to go deep in the playoffs, they must call plays that make them a more diverse offense.

Carter needs to find a way to get to 21 points every game. That may get them out their region with the type of defense they play. This is a very good football team.

Has Carter shut down a really good passing attack? Who? Not saying they haven't, I just don't know.

Most of the good passing attacks are in Region 1, aren't they??

We haven't played any teams with a "really good passing attack".

Everybody tried to pass on us. I can't say any were successful. Garland may have had the most success because they caught us slipping.
The best passing team that we played was Skyline, and they were not that successful at it, except for that score that they got in the first quarter. Their QB stayed on the run all night.

Most of the teams we've played all year were run first and were forced to passed, and our secondary held them down real well and our defense put a lot of pressure on their QBs.

It will be pretty interesting to play a team with a real good passing attack. Region 2 appears to be a SMASHMOUTH region. I know Leander and Lufkin will pose a threat in that area.

Our secondary is tight so they will be up for the challenge.
