we are going on to houston to surf a little and than drop him off at college
my parents are going to be at my aunts house and they should be safe out in magnolia (hopefully they will be)

so pray i dont get hurt
we have necessary help if we get hurt but we are still going to do it

drop off my parents and the supplies (got a generator just in case) grab my cousin and his friend hook up the sea doos and we are heading to the beach very soon

It's pretty strong wind right now and my friend in Silsbee is freaking out cuz her family tried to evacuate and they just waded a mile back to their apartment complex and went to the top floor to their neighbors....
They started to leave but hit some water they couldn't drive through and it started taking them away so they hopped out and things are ok for them now but no car

I've lived through a couple of hurricanes and tropical storms and I find them overrated. You will lose power, but if you live in a strong enough home at a high enough elevation and have plenty of supplies, it's no big deal. My fat :Censor: would be on the beach with my Snoopy rod & reel right now if I wasn't 400 miles away.

its just big gusts right now and the power is still on but who knows how long it will last

we were surfing i had a close call with 2 waves crashing on top of me but my cousin came in with the sea doo and pulled me up about that time coast guard said go to shore and go home so we did
coast guard went back to a dock and got into cars to leave i guess

Please. As a kid I waited out a hurricane from the 2nd floor of a military apartment complex not a quarter mile from Neptune Beach. No power for a week, no generators, nothing but bottled water and MREs. I don't underestimate the danger or make light of the loss that occurs, but I understand the power was going to go out whether I was in that apartment or not. At least I got some good fishing out of it.

Where we were no one was out there that helped us out. The Coast Guard told us to get back about an hour after we were there but we had people there that were helping us just in case. Sea Doos can help you out alot if you know how to use them...
