Who do you take? :)
I do not know much about Cy-Falls, but with what I have read about NS game last week I take NS. :)

i think win or lose...this game will help NS when they go up to face SLC in three weeks.....the spread is not something NS has seen all that often.....and in my opinion pass coverage has been a weak point of the mustangs...however...they are looking much improved this year in that dept.......so it should be a good test.....

I think my boys will do fine.

31-21 NS. It could be a lot worse than that but Cy-Falls did put some points on Westfield. Then again, Cypress schools tend to have porous defenses...

This is a tough one. I told NSMustangProud and cfbooster both that I hope they win this week. That's what I get for opening my big mouth without looking at schedules. :o I've seen NS, and they're good, but I would never count CF out. I think I'm going to be Switzerland. :D

I never vote against the Eagles, even if they are going up against Goliath!! So this time is no different. I don't know if they will win but they will give everything they have to do so. It's Homecoming and the first home game this year so there should be a large crowd for us (finally).

North Shore proved they could handle the spread against Ike. The Mustangs can keep Cy Falls off the field by pounding the football with Woods, Jones and that OL.

I live directly behind the Berry Center and i remember all the cars that were in line trying to get into the game. little secret about Berry Center nobody enters from the west side of Barker Cypress. If you come down Hwy 6 from 290 you can go down to Longenbaugh and take a Right that will get you to Barker Cypress and next to the Stadium.. No Traffic !!! If you guys come from I-10 get off at Hwy 6 and come down to FM 529. Take a left at 529 and that will lead you to Barker Cypress. Take a Right at the light and Berry Center is less then a mile on the left.. Hope this helps and hope to see a Big Crowd at the game.. My Kids go to Cy Falls and i always cheer for the Eagles until this week

It is going to be a tough game for Falls. But it should at least make them better for later in the year.

This will be an interestig game for Falls. Their run defense is alot better this year than last. Westfield owned the airways last week, but not the ground. Hopefully Eaton can come up with the scheme and the boys can come up with the heart to compete against the bigger NS team.

Hey, always pick the weak ones for homecoming.:D

The district actually assigns the nights for homecomings. The schools have nothing to do with it. Apparently, they do it without looking at the schedules.

On the drive to Berry: :Censor:...people actually live way out there? Don't compare it to driving to North Shore. We are 12-18 minutes from Downtown WITH traffic. Berry is.......case closed! (lol)

Cy Falls offense is pretty efficient. Kolby Gray is very mobile and elusive, NS better make their tackles and wrap up on contact cause that kid can fly. Falls will also expose Shore's secondary(as posted earlier) which could prove beneficial when they meet SLC. I'll take Cy Falls in a close one

Cy Falls 24 NS 21

Cy Falls 24 NS 21

If Eisenhower couldn't do it with all of their skill talent, I don't know how Falls will do it.

I watched the Westfield game, and the Eagles just don't appear to have the game breaking players at receiver they've had the last four years.

The second half performance against Westfield was much better on offense, but the first half obviously decided the game. North Shore is going to come after Gray. The NS defensive line and linebackers are very good. They will be able to pressure with a front four rush, and can blitz LBs if needed.

In my opinion, Falls needs to really work Christian Norris this week. Gray is a talented runner, but if they keep using him like they did against Westfield then Gray will take a real beating. Defenses don't have much to worry about if Norris is only used as a decoy.

You can blow all that smoke you want to, but, my butt is too tight for it. Kolby is spot on right now but has no one to catch it. If they can not find some recievers with hands quickly, they are toast.

NS has it going right now. Some big, stud-assed playas! The only thing Falls can hope for is that their defensive front 7 can be as good as they can and slow NS's running attack.

IF! that happens, maybe Falls keeps it close.

For the record, I did "homer" vote for the Eagles this week. After being chastized last week, I will not make the same mistake. :notworthy

Not having seen or played NS (only read the comments for the past few years), and giving the fact that we are at our first home game and it is homecoming, and after losing the past two weeks, I believe our boys can a W on the board for us this weekend.... but it won't be pretty.

Homer vote posted. That being done, I have to say that this will indeed be a tough week for my Eagles. A tough week of preparation that is! After watching them hold Westfield a couple of times last week, I know our defence can make the big stop. Westfield had a great air game, but their ground game was held pretty well by the Eagles D. There were even a few great stops in the air. I know that there was 1 pass that was batted down and a couple of others that were defended. I think the key here is to put some stick 'em on the receivers hands so that they don't drop the ball so much! Ok, Ok, I know we can't use stick 'em. What about glue:D If the offense can keep hold of the ball and use the clock wisely, the Eagles can beat North Shore. They should be pretty relaxed out there since not many expect them to win. My Eagles have heart and determination. I'll take that over ratings any day. Each game is a clean slate. Go get 'em boys!

Watching the weather.... I wonder if rain could impact an air game? NS seems to be developing a well rounded attack but, could rain force it to a ground only game? If so, the outcome could be in the hands of a young but capable NS offensive line? I've got faith either way, but I sure was hoping to sit up top, not huddled under the overhang.

OUR Eagles will be fine! I think the storm is coming through on Saturday so the air game should still be a go. Just depends on how much early wind we are getting. May keep the crowds down if it is actually coming our way with evacs and such but, you and I live just down the street from Berry and I don't know about you but I have never evacuated for a Hurricane. I sat on the front porch at my Grandma's house in the Heights during Carla so I'm good to go;). BRING IT ON IKE! Oh and...

No - we have pictures!! I don't remember that!! I only remember back as far as JFK being assassinated - only because my mom started screaming and it was just she and I in the house (I was ironing doll clothes). It was pretty traumatic. My next memory is of going to the Hempstead Drive-in to see Mary Poppins and watching the Beatles on Ed Sullivan - that's as far back as I go with the memory! Pictures tell the story on Carla.

8pm is really late. Is it so all the North Shore folks have time to drive all the way out west? :D

I vote let's move it up to 4 pm! And gain an advantage on the fan support!:p

Morton Ranch and Langham are playing at Berry at 4:00 - you want to hit that one too? We are thinking about going to both.

If you go another 7 or 8 miles or so on 290 (away from town) and then turn left on Barker Cypress and go up to West Rd - you can't miss the stadium.:)

Another way is to take 290 to Hwy 6, turn left and go up to Longenbaugh (about 2 miles) and turn right on Longenbaugh (there's a Bank of America, WAMU and a Burger King on that corner). Take that road up about 4 miles to Barker Cypress and turn right. That is an easier way to get to the visitor side and less traffic usually.

A third way - and I am just trying to get you all here with as little traffic as possible - if you are taking the tollway, take the West Rd. exit (to avoid the rush hour on 290) and West goes all the way to the stadium...it's about 8 miles and a few lights or so but it will dump you right there. You could take the same exit off of 290.

West Rd. has too many lights. Made that mistake last year.

I just ran into Kolby Gray and family. They said that the game may be postponed. Something about the schools possibly closing early tomorrow. I don't see anything on Chron.com and I haven't checked CFISD yet. Chron.com had the info earlier and nothing was on CFISD so I guess they aren't posting anything until the decision is final. I really don't like the track IKE is taking. We may need rain, but we certainly don't need IKE.

Also, I told Kolby my stick 'em idea and he said that all is good with the receivers!:D

I hate to miss the game but if it is coming directly for us, many people will want to leave town...especially those in Northshore who are closer to water. I guess we'll see but that bad mama looks big and mean. We have a bye week next week - wonder if they'll just move it to next week (but NS may not be available)...of course, everyone but one team in CFISD has a bye week next week so scheduling would be reminiscent of when Rita was threatening.

Yes but you drive right by my neighborhood (Copperfield) and that should count for something;). It's funny that someone said Northshore was a 20 minute drive to Downtown Houston on one of the posts. Well, we are about a 40 minute drive to the heart of Downtown Brenham so there!!:D:D

darn... all dressed up and no place to go... wore my "spirit" clothes to work today and everything.

I think it's better for everyone involved... need to utilize our time preparing for company IKE and not worrying about or going to a football game (although I live 8-9 months out of the year looking forward to HS football)

Everyone stay safe and dry.

Nope. You're wrong about that one.;) I have really liked the advances Falls made in their first 2 games. They are still just coming together as a team and I think they are about to start putting things together on the field. Would/will it a tough game for Falls? Sure. Is Falls considered a big underdog in this game? Sure. Do they have a chance? I think so.
