After holding Cy Creek on four plays inside the klein oak 5 yard line oak put up the first points of the game on a 98 yard touchdown run by Ossam Cook. The game was back and forth with Oak playing terrible defense, but holding on to a 9 point victory to start the year off right. Cy Creek was better than expected.

OAK Offense at it again. Putting up 38 and doing it through the air and on the ground. Oak Defense needs to step it up. This has been the sore spot for the Oak Panthers. They have to outscore everyone and it catches up to them in district play. Where the athletes of the district foes take over and the Oak offense is left to outscore the opponent. Same thing happened in the playoffs with Leander. I have faith that the KO defensive staff will get this group together. They have plenty of athletes on defense to do it but giving up 29 to Creek is not where they want to be. No offense to Creek but you guys were 2-8 last year.

The Oak secondary had a couple of busted coverage plays that resulted in big plays by Creek and that should be easily fixed, but the Oak D-line really needs to step up and can't give up that many rushing yards.

Really impressed with the eveness on offense. Great to see a potent air attack to go with a good running game. Need a power back on short yard situations. Ossam has great speed and seems to be a finesse runner. Give him room and watch out. Defense did well half of the time. Outside containment lacking a little bit. Cy Creek has some really good skilled position players. I was impressed with their quarterback and running back. # 26 looked like a jackrabbit when he caught the ball. On defense, Oak needs sure tackling. Typical first game errors with facemask and late hitting penalties. No containment on outside runs. I think for their first game Oak did well. I see a lot of potential. I really like Oak's quarterback. Good passer, runner and has pretty good command of the offense. Receivers have some really good hands.
