What year had the best pair of state championship games?

Since D1 and D2 came along what was your favorite pair of state championship games?
Mine was in 2002!
Judson- 33
Midland- 32
and SV getting destroyed by SLC (no I'm not taking a shot at SV cuz they beat us last night)
Judson's game because of the PASS!
and no one expected SLC to get past Lufkin in the semis and SV made it but fell short....really short!

Ill agree with you on the first part!! ;) but really i think the yr we won and roosy won in 95...even though they beat us that yr!! grrr...never from the same district had two teams won the 5A title...26-5A!!!!!

I loved this year too! That Judson game was something else. I was cheering my brains out!

I like the SLC/SV game too. Not so much because of the score because I was rooting for SV, but because of the fact that two first year 5a teams made the finals when no one thought they would.

The last year there was 1 state champion! So that would make the semis the closest thig you would have had. This 4 teams, 2 watered down titles is crap!

I agree -1995 Roosevelt from out of nowhere 16-0 with 2 future NFL defensive lineman and Judson 15-1(only loss was to Roosevelt in district)

Those schools boundry lines are right next to each other-pretty amazing
