Well, lets get it started. This wil be a good game. Cooper may be 4-A but it looks as if they still have the 5-A spirit. Cooper D and O look very stong. Last night 4 passing TD's of 40 yards are more. AHS showed good adjustment in second half and poured it on. I heard tickets go on sale Monday. If ya don't have season tickets better get there early.

I can't wait for this game! It does seem weird that it's so early in the season, but at least we still get to play them. Cooper seems very confident and both teams always get up for the cross town rivalry, however I don't see how the cougar D can stop all the weapons Abilene High has. Oh yeah, Ryan Heslep gets his turn to meet Chris Williams!:D

Yes and Warren will be greeted by Brandon Henderson. Cooper's passing game will light up the slow Eagle secondary.

I have seen both abilene high's games, and cooper against wyatt.

I think dunbar and pehs would beat cooper.

Our d-line and Chris Williams are going to give heslep and wise hell. Our O has to many weapons for Cooper to keep in check.

I think this game will look like how the jv scores have looked the last two years. 56-7 last year and 56-0 the year before.

Anybody who thinks Cooper is anything close to AHS is terrible at analyzing football.

Stephen Warren has been avoiding and beating Brandon Henderson since middle school. The Eagle O-line isn't some shoddy Ft. Worth Wyatt or Boswell line. I don't think we've given up a sack yet, if so only one.

The arrogance of Cooper since dropping to 4A is out of control. They have anointed themselves as king of 4A and have boasted that they would have won our old district 3-5A crown had we all been kept together.

Note to Cooper: You are no longer playing with the big boys now. Emotion will dictate about the first 12 minutes of the game but after things have settled down, AH will not only beat you; they will whip you up pretty good.

I think it will be a good game. Toughest test for both teams so far. Probably toughest test for both teams until playoff time.

And where are you hearing that from? I don't know of any actual players or coaches talking that way! And Abilene High's "arrogance" the last several years is nothing to sneeze at either!

I think he is right. Tyler Lee gave Lufkin one heck of a game. No one in our district is looking like they will be worth their salt, so I certainly hope that will be enough to prepare us for the playoffs.

Actually in the stands during the Dunbar game your boys entered and were all mouth. Heard it first hand thank you. Today at the WTF Parade, once again... talk talk talk....

As for AH's arrogance, so be it if you say so. Does not bother us one bit if you feel that way. Enjoy your stay in 4A... Just don't embarass the town.

Tyler Lee gave us a good game last year and will do the same this year.

Games are played for a reason. Plano East despite giving us fits and playing a solid game was a test. The boys did well by overcoming their shortfalls in the first half and focusing during the second by playing ball.

Tests come in all measure's on the field.

I'm sure it doesn't bother the Coogs if you feel they are arrogant either. As for enjoying our stay in Class 4A from what I hear you might just be joining us the next realignment! Good luck Friday night and the rest of the season.

CLAW 'EM COUGARS!! PLUCK THE BIRDIES!!:D

Yep, we may very well be joining you though it's not our desire and want as it was Cooper's. Also, having made a decent name for ourselves in the entire state of class 5A, dropping down a class won't label us as a team who could not succeed with the big boys.

Cooper made their own decent name for themselves in the 90's under Coach Allen and Coach Quisenberry. Played in a state championship even, didn't win it, but Abilene High hasn't won or played in another one since the late 50's! And Cooper's dropping down to 4A has NOTHING to do with competition. It's based on school enrollment.

Sure, Cooper has been down of late, but I'm proud as hell of the Cougars' accomplishments as I'm sure you are of Abilene High's. Just don't put the Cougars down because they haven't won a state championship. They've played with the big boys and beaten some of them along the way!

Yall haven't been worth anything since Quiz was there. Seems kinda weird that he had yall playing at such a high level, but goes to Midland Lee where in my opinion tends to have the best talent in our former district and is in the decline.

yeah yeah yeah Garland and Tyler Lee. Lee's a good school, not sure who I would pick in a game between Lee and CHS...however it looks very much like right now Abilene will no doubt be thebest team Cooper see's for a long time. You certainly arent making an implication that Garland is more of a test for a school then Abilene?
