Who will win Division I state title?

Well after watching them last year beat Judson and almost beat a very good Tyler Lee team for the title my vote goes out to Spring Westfield. Its too bad they will not face Southlake this year. Note all the good teams in the houston area are in Division I this year. This playoff system that we have is for the birds, Oh well I hope my Rockets go far but I do not think they will get past Westfield in the Semi's for the second year in a row.

I am making my prediction right here and now-

If North Shore is healthy they will beat Westfield at home in two weeks.

North Shore will crush the region 4 rep and bring home the title to Houston.

North Shore must be diversified on offense.....don't be too conservative. Trust your defense to hold the line against the Westfields and the Trinitys.

I completely disagree!! I think Katy is every bit as good as westfield and NS if not better. I think they are better then NS and even with Westfield. Many knowledgeable Katy fan's say this their best team since 2000 and i believe them. Does Katy and NS have any other common opponents besides The Woodlands?? Katy beat them something like 30-6 while NS beat them 7-6. That tells me something right there.


Either way i think it is pretty clear that Trinity will meet Westfiled will meet in the finals unless some big upset happens. I think Westfield will not have their way vs NS like last year but they will get by them (i could definitely be wrong??) and Trinity's only possible test will be vs Westlake or The Woodlands in my opinion. Div1 is hurting this year and those 2 teams stand out in a big way.

I'm checking out Westfield this Friday nite to see them firsthand. I've seen NS already. I have some buddies that have already seen both of them and they think the NS defense is a bit better than Westfield's. I always give the nod to the better defense especially in big playoff games but, of course, the games are played to find out who has got their mojo working.
I can't believe rocketman. The Houston Chronicle has Katy 3rd best in the area. It's easier to take when it's someone's opinion but heck, like rocketman said, it's just the facts!!

Shore's drawback this year is the TWHS game but I believe they have jelled since that game and if they played now, it would be lopsided. Week 2 - Katy won 34-20. Humble added a late TD and a 2pt conversion with 6 minutes left in the game. Katy outgained Humble 430 to 394.

I won't argue that North Shore is fast because I've seen them this year. However, this is definitely the fastest all-around Katy team I've ever seen.

Speed alone will not beat Katy. Over the years, Katy has managed to beat many fast opponents with teams noticeably slower than what is on the field this season.

It's a shame we can't all get in the same bracket and be able to settle this kind of debate. I'm anxious to see how North Shore gets out of the blocks against Pearland.

I'm thinkg Region 4 is out of the mix. If Judson couln't do it last year with the team they had and Kyle Fox in the backfield, I'm thinking the chances this year are slim. I'm hopng for a great run through the playoffs, but Region 3 has me worried. Here's to a good push by CJ. I'm traveling to the games as long as they are playing!!! just speakin from my heart here.....the only team i would be really scared to face this year is westfield. i think that they match up better against katy than any team in the state. There are alot of good teams and every team that katy faces will be a great opponent...but the only one i wouldnt feel confident about is a Katy/Westfield matchup. I think we could win, but it would be a big upset. I have felt that way all year and do you know what has changed?........nothing

Would love to see those games played out though...but oh well!!!

Actually, the 04' team was pretty much a rebuild, especially on defense. Lost 7 seniors and replaced them with sophomores. Not making excuses, WF put us down, but the winning tradition lives on.

lol... it wasn't even close, Our team was beating Westfield 28-7 and than Westfield came up to 21 and thats it. I don't think thats close.
